Mother's Day Card #2

I made this card for my dad to give my mom for Mother's Day. I cut the flower card at 6" from Wild Card, then again at 5" and 4" and cut off the back part of the card. I used Core Couture and DCWV Shimmer Stack paper for the flowers. The background paper is DCWV Mariposa stack. The butterfly was cut at 1" from Picturesque. I added swirly stamps on the flower petals and gems. The ribbon is from my stash, no clue where I got it.
I can't tell you how excited I was to use my Scrappy Moms stamps for the first time that I won from Tammy at Scrappy Critters! These stamps are so awesome! They make a clean, dark impression. Love it!

I am entering the card in the following challenges:
  1. Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #11 - Mother's Day
  2. Cricut Cardz Challenge #72 - Use a cart with a card feature and include a flower
  3. Cooking With Cricut Challenge #27 - Spring - flowers

Thanks so much for looking and have a great evening :)

Royal Wedding Theme Card

I haven't had a chance to make any projects the last couple of days, so I made time this morning to create a card in honor of today's Royal Wedding. I used Core Couture paper and cut the bride and groom at 3" from the Sweethearts cart. I used an EK Success punch for the bottom of the red paper. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and I made the rose out of Core'dinations Roy G Biv cardstock. I added pearls and crystals embellishments.
This was my first attempt at a double-slider card and I just love it! The top slides out to reveal "Just Married," cut from Sweethearts at 2", and the bottom is a stamp that reads "In honor of Love, May you blossom and flourish in your new life together. I used a Fiskars punch to round the corners on the sliders.

I am entering the card in the following challenges:
  1. Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #4 - project to celebrate the royal wedding
  2. Card Cupids - Create a card and use a punch
  3. Patches of Pink - Link-up Party
  4. Joyful Stamper -  Inspire Me Friday's 4: Anything Goes
  5. Paper Cutz Challenge #89 - Anything Goes
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend :)
