Getting Cricky Guest Designer - Fashionista!

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend. I am so thrilled to be the guest designer today at Getting Cricky With K Andrew for her Simply Sunday challenge!

This week's challenge is Fashion-ista - such a fun theme for me. One of my great pleasures in life is shopping. Whether it be for clothes, shoes, purses, jewelry, makeup, books or crafting supplies, I love it all! My only regret is that I have been so busy this month with major deadlines, I didn't get a chance to order my stamps from Kristal in time for my project. I would have loved to use her "shopping is my therapy" stamp from Fashionable Friends for this project. If you haven't seen her stamps, you have to check them out (click HERE). Not only are they awesome with great quotes, but proceeds from each and every package are donated to charity. It makes me feel good to buy something that not only will I use (and use alot!) but will benefit others. Kristal is so wonderful for doing this. I'll be stalking the mailman until mine arrive ;)
For my project, I made a side-step card using cuts from Forever Young. I cut the fashionista at 5" and then flipped her and cut her again so I could create the reflection in the mirror. I have shiny silver paper that reflects so I thought it would be perfect for the mirror. The shelves are attached with foam dots, as are the mirror and the girl. I used the Tim Holtz Sizzex bricked folder on the red paper. The crystals were added with my iRock.
I cut hangers at 1/2" and then dresses from different models on the cart (every girl needs a little black dress in her closet, doesn't she?!) For the clothes rack, I adhered paper over two thin strips of cardboard and then attached 20 gauge wire using Terrifically Tacky tape to hold it in place. The string of pearls is from a spool of ribbon I purchased at Hobby Lobby.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and thank you again, Kristal for inviting me to be a part of your amazing blog this week! Have a great evening, everyone :D
