Happiness Is An Inside Job!

Happy Thursday, bloggers! I hope you are having a great day! I love trying new card techniques. When I stopped by Amy's website, Love to Crop, and saw the project her guest designer Laura of Laura's Crafts & More featured, I knew I had to try it. A box card! How cool :)
For my card, I used paper from K & Company's Que Sera Sera stack. It is double sided and both sides complement each other. Plus, there is so much texture and design in the paper, you hardly need embellishments. I used a Nestabilities die for the tag and I inked all edges with Tim Holtz walnut distress ink. I used an EK Success punch for scalloped border on the sides. The stamp is from K Andrew's Positive Thoughts stamp set. Click HERE to purchase your own set. I attached the crystals with my iRock. When you slide the band off and open the sides, the box pops open.
I am going to add a gift card when I give this card to a friend. I love the sentiment of the stamp, and I thought not only is it a positive, motivational message, but once you open the card, you will be happy with what is inside! HA! It takes so little to amuse me :D

I am going to link this up at Amy's awesome blog, Love to Crop. I hope you will make your own box cards and link up at Amy's blog! I can't wait to see what you create! Have a wonderful day, everyone and thanks so much for stopping by :)

  19. This is such a FUN project. I seen it at Amy's blog too:)I have to try and make one of these:)

I have to tell you..I was at Susan's blog-Cricut and Grasshopper and I about busted a gut when I went to post a comment. You had just left one..Susan's first line..please forgive me for I have sinned...you mentioned your major Catholic flashbacks and Sister Agnes......Well, you should have met Sister Therese. Boy, could I share some stories...I just thought that was funny and certainly if you went to a Catholic school~you can relate:) Okay, enough now, I'll stop, hehe! I'm beginning to think we have a lot in common, LOL!

  24. This is just gorgeous! The papers and colors are so beautiful... so much to enjoy, everywhere your eyes frolic. :o) The borders are fantastic. I really need to get that punch. As much as I adore this box (and new techniques!), my favorite part is the meaning behind your sentiment. So lovely, in every way. :o)

  26. This is really neat, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. I am going to go look at the tutorial. So how big is the box dimension wise? By the way - I have that paper stack and I love it. I agree, the paper texture is so rich you don't need much else. Another fantastic project Lisa - thanks so much for sharing. Sabrina

  29. Hey Lisa!

You did a great job on this! A box card, very good idea. I really like the colors you picked to do this and I love how it opens. In my opinion I believe that gift cards are a very positive and motivation message, usually when I get them is when they are the most motivational though. (lol) ;) And men say women are so hard to please..ha!

Hope your having a fun Friday!
