Happy Harvest

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope you are having a great day! I am definitely in the Fall mood, since the temps are hovering in the low 60's and the forecast calls for a chilly low of 43 tonight! I don't want to put my flip-flops away yet :(
I have a card to enter into a couple of challenges today. For this Happy Harvest card, I used paper from Cloud Nine for the pumpkin background. The rest is DCWV from my stash. The base of the card is embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder. All of the cuts are from October 31. I cut the scarecrow at 4", the crow at 1", the sign at 1 1/2", the smaller pumpkins at 1" and the larger pumpkin and vine at 2". I bent the crow's wing a bit to make it look like he just landed on the sign, and I attached everything with foam tape. The tag is a Spellbinders Nestabilities die and I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink. The sentiment is from the new K Andrew Design Fall-O-Ween stamp set.     Great fall card Lisa! I love that spooky scarecrow in the pumpkin patch! I refuse to put my flip flops away yet- no way (I'll be saying that and walking in the snow with them on HAHA) - I hate when summer is over :)Amy

    Totally awesome card! So much dimension and texture. I totally love the way you cut that scarecrow in black it really gives your card that fall and Halloween feel. It is starting to get chilly here in NY too..I am so excited for Fall it is my favorite season. I chuckled when you said about putting your flip flops away because it made me think of how many people I see wearing them in the winter. I probably would too if I could bare the cold feet;)

    My sweet friend, there is so much to love about this card.. as is always the case! :o) I love the colors you chose.. the dark green looks amazing as the background, as does the brighter green for the vine.     That scarecrow looks mighty spooky cut out all in black. I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark pumpkin patch! Great looking card! Perfect for the season. Sounds like our weather is very similar. Not looking forward to the prospect of my heat kicking on tonight!
