Simply Sunday Challenge - It's A Celebration!

Happy New Year, everyone!! Wow, 2012!! How is that possible?? I can't believe how fast time flies!! It's time for another fun Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky! The theme this week is in honor of the new year..."It's A Celebration"! We want to see your projects that celebrate something, whether it be the new year, a new job, your family...anything at all that you want to celebrate!!
For my project today, I am celebrating a friendship that has lasted over 25 years!! I used My Mind's Eye paper and the Cuttlebug Clockworks embossing folder. The large clock is a Tim Holtz die and I used Tim Holtz kraft resist paper (thank you again, Sabrina!!) and inked the edges with walnut Distress Ink. The edge of the black and white paper was punched with a EK Success punch and I added crystals. Forever Friends is from the Phrases cart and attached with foam tape. The tag is a Spellbinders Nestabilities die, also attached with foam and I inked the edges, as well as the edges of the paper with walnut Distress Ink. "My life is so much better with you in it" is from the Positive Thoughts stamp set!
This was one of Kristal's very first stamp sets and still one of my favorites! To purchase this set or to see the entire line of K Andrew Design stamps, click on the picture below:

I am linking this up at the following challenges:
Now it's your turn! Head on over to Getting Cricky and link up your "It's A Celebration project!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I wish you all a very safe, wonderful, prosperous new year!! Happy 2012 :)

  1. Lisa,
This is just magnificant!!! I love the clock and the embossing. (I just bought that embossing folder this weekend and can't wait to use it.) The colors you used are great and with the addition of the inking you have created such a great piece of art. I have not really looked that much at the phrases cartridge. I will take another look at it now.
    Happy New Year!!!
