Happy Tuesday, everyone!! I hope you are having a great week :) It was sunny here today, temps in the 60's, birds chirping happily...yay, Spring (a couple of weeks early!!)
I have a card today to enter in the Jinger Adams and The Scrapbooking Queen Design Team Call. Jinger has designed a new craft line and I would love to be able to work with what I know will be a fabulous team and amazing products!! For this card, I used paper from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 2 Blush stack. I distressed the edges of the background paper before inking them with Walnut Distress Ink and sewing it to the black card stock.
The ribbon and lace are from Hobby Lobby and the button is from my stash. The pink border is a Spellbinders Lace Doily Accents die and the black is a Spellbinders Lace Doily Motifs die.
The black doily is also from Lace Doily Accents, and the pink from Lace Doily Motifs. The labels are Nestabilities Label 5 and I inked the white with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. The flower was a unexpected bonus...I used the leftover edge of paper from the pink border along the bottom. It had one straight edge and one scalloped. I scored it at the quarter inch marks, folded it and voilĂ ...a rosette flower!! The black flower outline behind is from Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents. The quote is from K Andrew Designs Scripture Sayings stamp set.
I am also entering the card at:
- Little Scrap Pieces - Use a Button and Bow
- My Creative Time Throwback Thursday - Cricut-less Challenge
Very chic. All the elements go together to make a vintage looking card. And without your Cricut. Good luck with the DT Call.

Do you know how much I love this card??? Do you??? Your attention to detail is magnificent -- You've done a stellar job demonstrating your talent, my friend... You are simply ON FIRE with this card (hee hee... mermaid on fire... what's THAT remind you of???) SO... to quote my favorite book turned movie... May the odds be ever in your favor!! :) (in other words, I'm rooting for YOU to make Jinger's DT!!)
ReplyDeleteBIG HUGS,
Amy :) at www.lovetocrop.com
My sweet friend... what can I even say? I'll forever think you should be on any team your heart desires because you are talented, dedicated, and a sweetheart. As always, you've brought out the best in every product you've used, incorporating every element into one fantastic design. The doily patterns are stunning (you and your Spellbinders! Hehe!) and I love every trim and embellishment, including the serendipitous rosette! Plus you sewed and used the Victorian Velvet ink I'm addicted to, which means I love it even more!
ReplyDeleteYou know what my favorite part is, right? The Scripture. The very fact that you put Him first place in your endeavor to make this DT means everything. :o) Best wishes in the call, my friend! (Or is it Break a Spellbinders?) ;)
Hugs and blessings!
