Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday - Mother's Day

Happy Friday!! I hope you had a wonderful week!! Any fun plans for the weekend?? It's my Mom's birthday tomorrow and then Mother's Day on Sunday, so I will be spending time with my dear Mom :)

It's time for a Fun Friday Challenge at Little Scrap Pieces!! The theme this week is in honor of all of the wonderful Moms out there...we want to see your Mother's Day projects :)

The paper for this card is from Prima's Nature's Garden stack. The base is a Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight die, followed by a Labels Eight. The edges of all the lighter papers were inked with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink. The next two layers are the Decorative Labels Eight and Labels Eight, popped up with foam tape for dimension.

The center is a Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags Two die. The flower and sentiment are from JustRite's Grand Sentiments stamp set. A TH Victorian Velvet Distress marker was scribbled on a craft mat and then brushed onto the flower with a TH Waterbrush. The ribbon is from May Arts and the butterfly is a Spellbinders Fanciful Flight die, inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, gems added and popped up with foam tape. I have several different Spellbinders butterflies dies, but I always seem to gravitate towards this one...I just love the shape and simplicity of it :)

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp - Things With Wings
  2. DL.Art Thankful Thursday- May Linky Party
  3. Sunday Funday #9 - May Linky Party
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Little Scrap Pieces to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Mother's Day project...I can't wait to see what you create :)
