Merry Christmas and Upcoming Blog Hop

Happy Friday, everyone!! It's my turn to share a project on the Die-Versions...you can visit the DV blog HERE. My projects feature two dies from the latest Die-Versions Christmas in July release, as well as a couple of other DV dies.

I used the Shapes Build an Owl to create this set of Christmas cards. Aren't the owls adorable??!! I've popped them all up with foam tape for dimension. All of the paper is from The Paper Studio.

First up is the Reindeer Owl. His eyes and scarf were covered with Ranger Glossy Accents. The button is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die, and I've used it on all three cards. Peace on Earth is from the newest release.

Next up is Santa Owl his eyes and hat were covered with Glossy Accents. Merry Christmas is a Sweet Wordlet die, and I used it on the next card as well.

Last we have Christmas Tree Owl. His eyes and the tree were covered with Glossy Accents.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
  2. DL.Art - July Linky
  3. DL.Art - Christmas in July
  4. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Mark your calendars for August 15th

There will be a joint blog hop with Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle. It will begin Aug. 15th at 7 am EST and go through Aug. 17th, so there will be plenty of time to check out all the great projects created by both teams. The theme will be Christmas, so you'll get lots of great inspiration for your upcoming Holiday cards.

The winner will receive a Grand Prize consisting of a $50 gift certificate from Die-Versions and a $50 gift certificate from Sparkle N Sprinkle, for a total of $100.

Die Versions manufactures low profile dies made right here in the United States and Sparkle N Sprinkle manufactures rubber stamps, glitters, embossing powders, and flocking, also made in the US. This is like a match made in heaven - low profile dies combined with lots of glitter, embossing powder, and flocking. Doesn't get much better than that.

Here is a sneak peak of some of the goodies that both teams received:

So mark your calendars now because this is one blog hop you won't want to miss!! Thanks for stopping by :)

  16. These cards are just treasures! Loved each little owl in his dress stage, and your glossy accents really added so much shine. This looks to be an extremely versatile die, and I know these dies cut well. Ditto on the SnS products. Their EP & glitter is wonderful, and there is a product called Twinkling Clouds that makes the best snow effects! TFS & Hugs.

  17. My sweetest friend, what can I say except Merry Sparkly Christmas! Hehe! I LOVE that we both posted whimsical festive creations today! How precious is this set of cards?! Build-an-owl is such a clever idea for a set and you've showcased it brilliantly. I love your paper choices for each, a designing aspect that you *never* take lightly! The sweet wordlets are as precious as their name. I want to choose a favorite owl, but it's just so hard. I think the tree one may edge out the other two for my heart, but not by much. Wonderful work as always, my dear Lisa!

And I must mention that I am SUPER excited for the hop you announced... and how envious I am of those packages of goodies. ;) I hope you have a happy weekend! And I can't wait to see your amazing gift bag whenever you post it... I know I will thwap you big time for what you said today. ;)

    Hugs and blessings,
    Karen

I was shocked when I did not see any Tim Holtz used on your cards, then I realized you used Ranger Glossy Accents...hmmmm! that's close enough...lol.
