Scrapy Land Blog Challenge #28 - Embossing

Happy Wednesday!! I'm sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I'm still trying to get caught up from being gone for so long. It's time for another Scrapy Land Blog Challenge. For this challenge, we want to see your embossing projects (heat or dry), using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from :)


For these cards, I started with a Tim Holtz Distressed Brick embossing folder. I spritzed pink cardstock with water before I embossed it to bring out the texture then stitched it to the base. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA.


The flowers are clustered over a Cheery Lynn English Tea Party Doily die. Cheery Lynn Dandelion dies were tucked among the blooms.


The sentiment banner is a Taylored Expression Banner Stacklets 1 die. The sentiments were heat embossed with Lana Pink Embossing Powder from Sparkle & Sprinkle. The butterflies are Memory Box Pippi and Memory Box Isabella dies, covered in Doodlebug Sugar Coating. The button on the crinkle ribbon is a Poppystamps Stitched Button die.

    Oh, such a sweet texturized card!!! Love the pink tones and the flowers!! The butterfly is amazing!! The wall embossed background is just stunning!! Great tip this to spritz cardstock of the EF with water, thank so much for sharing!!! Love this creation, it's a piece of art!

      Pink bricks & lovely floral bouquet is not something I'd think to put together, but it is just doggoned beautiful on this card. The brick has such texture and the delicate doily behind that lovely floral bunch, is a brilliant luck. Add in the sparkle of the swirl and the tiny white butterfly, simply stunning. You are the layer queen! TFS & Hugs. (hope you are all rested & back together from your trip and rush home, and that things are well).
