Scrapy Land Blog Challenge #31 - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday!! It' s December already...I don't know how that happened :) The first Wednesday of the month means a new challenge at Scrapy Land and the theme is Anything Goes using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from.

You'll notice I have two more cards that aren't Christmas related. Sigh. But I needed a sympathy card so I created these.

The papers are from Prima's Botanical collection. They were stitched onto The Paper Studio heavyweight Kraft cardstock. The rings are Memory Box Small Ringlets dies. The large butterfly is a Memory Box Vivienne Butterfly and Memory Box Darla Butterfly. Vivienne was covered with sugar coating. The smaller butterfly is from Impression Obsession's Butterfly Set, also covered with sugar coating.

Memory Box Botanical Stems were tucked under the flowers. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's (no longer in business) With Deepest Sympathy stamp set. It was stamped on a Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklet One die.

I used a Spellbinders Curved Borders One die for the inside. The sentient is also from My Craft Spot's With Deepest Sympathy stamp set.

I'm entering this is in the following challenges:

1. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Anything Goes

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your project using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

  5. wahhhhh! My gardens never look this pretty, Miss Mermaid! Your gorgeous color combinations bring even more fantasy elements to these beautiful creations! Love everything about the cards. Maybe I'm just afraid of using those larger flowers, and it seems you do it so lovely! I'll try assorted sizes and see if it works. As for the interior of your card! Such a fantastic use of pretty DP and die cuts! You are something else - may I ever be as skilled as you? I hope so! Beautiful cards, my friend! Hope your week is a great one as you prepare for Christmas Celebration! hugs, de

Hello Friend! Hope you are well. Can you believe that Christmas is almost here? Where on earth does the time go? This is my busy season at work so the time goes by even faster. I've been traveling so much and my last trip is next week then I'm off until Jan. 5. AHHHH I can't wait. I'm sorry I haven't been able to stop by as much as I would like but I'm going to try and check out all your gorgeous projects today :)

  17. What a gorgeous, intricate, delicate card. I love the laciness of the butterfly and the glint of the silver gems. I especially love how those leaves in the second card look like they're textural - though I think maybe it's patterned paper? Anyway it looks so pretty!

  18. Beautiful. I love how you put the ringlets behind the butterfly and sentiment. It adds so much extra depth and texture. I am sorry you needed a sympathy card, but since you usually do two of every design not you have an extra for some other time you need one. I usually avoid making sympathy cards and then when I need one I have to make it... not really a good plan. Thanks for showing us the inside of your card. It is a great CAS design.

The sentiments are gorgeous~simply beautiful! I need to ask, where do you get the gorgeous flowers from? Fantastic job my friend!

Hope your week is going well. I can't believe it's December~Oh man, I have so much to get done. I was also asked to go back to the place I retired from to fill in for someone on maternity leave and I guess I am gonna try and pull it off~I might have bit off more than I can chew, yikes! Oh well....I guess I can't just sit and relax, can I? Weather has been beautiful for this time of year. It's been in the high 30's and into the 40's this week. Just a dusting of snow a couple days ago but that's about it for snow.
    Have a great day~talk soon!

  42. My sweetest friends, these are beautiful beyond words... in fact, they are amongst my favorite from you this year. :o) I wish they weren't necessary, but these heavenly-inspired cards will work wonders to broken hearts. The color palettes are gorgeous and I love the designs. The whimsical flowers appear to be dancing alongside the butterflies, don't you think? And the sentiment is one of the loveliest I've seen. Extraordinarily beautiful work, my dearest Lisa! Sending extra hugs and love to you and to everyone in need. Always know how much God loves you. :o)

    Hugs and blessings,
