Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 - February

Happy Friday, everyone!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend :) My craft room is still a huge mess, but I had to clear enough space to play along with Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2016 Challenge. I'm determined to play along every month...so far, so good :)

I followed Tim's instructions HERE, but I had to modify it with the products I had on hand. For the background monoprint technique, I used Tim's Latticework stencil. For the embossed gold, I used his Arrow stencil. I colored the Found Relatives image with Spun Sugar, Scattered Straw and Broken China Distress Markers. I used Tim's Movers and Shakers Hearts dies, and I covered them with some of his Washi tapes. The sentiments are Remnant Rubs.

I am entering this in Tim's 12 Tags Challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great weekend :)

  7. Is that you in the photo, Lisa? Such a lovely photo of a sweet young girl - I think it could be you! Your tag is gorgeous - I have not tried the Tim Holtz tags but they intrigue me. I like how you made the background and, of course, I love the ribbon! Well done on keeping up with your goal of making the tags each month! Enjoy your weekend!

  8. I like the way you have Lisa-fied your tag with the pinky embellishments! It's a wonderful design. As for a mess... I enjoy designing when the craft room is straightened and clean, however, I often create in the midst of chaos because I like looking at the "Stuff" I want to use in upcoming projects. Alas, I am not prolific enough though to make everything my imagination wants to make! LOL I feel your pain. Giggling here

  16. Wow!! You've done a fabulous job! You're tag is very very close to that of Tim Holtz. I was really wondering that I had seen a similar tag somewhere that too was having the same arrow, with browny background & red hearts. And then I realized that was Tim Holtz's & this is yours for the challenge, with an amazing twist of pink hearts & photo! Love it!!
    Big Hugs :)

  24. Love how you took his design and made it you. I am glad this challenge is only once a month because when I see your post, naturally,I go to his and then i want to buy everything. Budget does not permit this so I have to go through withdrawal pains. Wonderful design. Enjoy the rest of your day.

  25. My sweetest friend, I know how much you love playing along in this and am therefore thrilled that you carved in some time for February's! Your tag is so beautiful! I love that you always have to modify a bit due to product because it makes it YOU and all the lovelier. :o) (I've already used 'love' a million times...) I adore the washi-wrapped hearts! I anticipated making a note of the paper you used upon first look before reading. :o) You are amazing. The gold-embossed arrows are stunning... my heart naturally went to following a yellow brick road to sweet love! Hehe! Every element is gorgeous and I do love the image you used. Fabulous as always, my dearest Lisa! Have a sparkly weekend. :o) (And I'm sorry my blog was being mean to you... extra hugs for persevering through five attempts!)

    Hugs and blessings,
    Karen
