Word Art Wednesday Guest Designer

For the Blog Hop 4 Boobies, click HERE!

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you're having a wonderful week!! I'm so excited to be guest designing this month at Word Art Wednesday!! It's one of my very favorite challenge blogs and Karen and all of he design team are so incredibly talented!!

I started with papers from Maja Designs' Vintage Summer stack for my cards. I didn't want to add too many layers or embellishments so the focus would be on the beautiful scripture from Proverbs.

Here's a close-up. I printed it on vellum and cut it out with a Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklet 1 die. I then attached it with brads.

My dapper dude is George from Tattered Lace. The clock is a Tim Holtz Clock die.

You can see this is pretty CAS for me. I'm entering it in the following challenges:

I hope you'll stop by the Word Art Wednesday blog to see the amazing projects the design team has created for today's challenges. Then link up your Anything Goes project...I can't wait to see what you create!!

  10. What a great man card! The printed vellum scripture is amazing! I've been wanting to print some of my digis on vellum! Great inspiration. Yes, this is rather CAS, but would be hard to give a man an entire flower bouquet on a card. ;0 LOL! Big hugs, Autumn

  18. Amazing masculine card Lisa! I know you've said guy cards are always a challenge..yeah, I don't think so! Girl, you nailed this! I LOVE handsome George! The papers are awesome and I love the TH clock die. I think I need to add that to my wish list! The scripture is beautiful! Nicely done my friend!
Sorry to hear you have to cuddle in a blanket in June :( That's crazy! It is beautiful today here. About 78 degree's and just came in from doing some yard work. I finished weeding my flower gardens and just laid 32 bags of cocoa bean. I smell like chocolate, hehe! That really helps keep the weed under control and I have no pets so it works perfectly. My flowers are blooming so nicely.
Congrats on your GD spot..seriously, awesome job my friend!
    Hugs,

  21. Lisa, this is certainly CAS for you, but I would like to give a new definition to CAS in honor of your card--Classy and Sophisticated! What a fabulous simple design, but so effective. Printing the scripture on vellum provides just the perfect balance of softness against those crisp edges of George (perfect name!) die cut and masculine styled papers. There is no style you can't do and you do them all with such Class and Sophistication! Congrats on your Guest DT at Word Art Wednesday--what a blessing for them to have you! Big hugs!

  30. My sweetest friend, congratulations on being a GD at Word Art Wednesday! What a blessing! They are blessed to have you. :o) It amazes me that you have any type of struggle with masculine cards because you keep blessing us with knockouts. :o) This is stunning! You've showcased the Scripture so wonderfully. I love how you printed it on vellum.. I wonder if I can do that with my printer? I love vellum and haven't used some in far too long. I adore those Maja papers (I'm so afraid to use my last piece of wooden paper!) and you've used them to perfection. The dapper dude is fabulous and I love the clock so much. Wonderfully done as always, my dearest Lisa! :o)

    Hugs and blessings,
    Karen
