Happy Friday!! I can't believe it's the first day of July. My gosh, time flies. A new month means it's time for a new monthly linky at DL.ART. As always, the theme is Anything Goes. If you use the code l01210, you'll receive 10% off your order at DL.ART.
For my cards, I used paper from Dovecraft's Floral Muse stack. The Eiffel Tower is from LaLa Land. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Tucked under the flowers are Elizabeth Craft Curly Leaves, Sue Wilson Mosiac Leaves and a Memory Box Flourish. The butterflies are Fiskars and Marvy Uchida punches.
The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is Primrose from the 2016 Spring Bundle. The banner is from My Craft Spot (no longer in business) and the sentiment is from My Creative Time.
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your project!! I can't wait to see what you create :)
I'm still working on capturing a hummingbird. They are so much easier to snap when they are stationary ;)
Eastern Bluebirds might be my favorite birds to photograph.
I saw this beautiful butterfly fluttering around the Mimosa tree so I snapped a few pics. It wasn't until I was scrolling through the pictures that I noticed...
...it's missing half it's lower body!! Thankfully, it didn't seem to have any trouble flying or enjoying the blooms :) Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Happy July :)

ReplyDeleteWOW! Lisa, sweet friend! I have sooo missed your wonderful creations and NOW, on top of your artistic talent with beautiful creations, you have added another string to your bow, that of nature photographer!! Those pictures are amazing, you could sell them easily to am image library, I am sure they would be in great demand!! STUNNING, my friend! Sorry I haven’t been around the blogs much since my return, but,on top of all the usual things to catch up on, and apart from the fact that my 90 year old mother's kitchen ceiling had come down and needed to get sorted out, we are on VERY limited broadband and no landline, as, the water-board company cut through the telephone cable, when they had to repair a water pipe!! They now inform me it could be 7-10 days!! Have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend!! Hazel xx

Hello, Lisa! Your Eiffel Tower cards are beautiful! So many gorgeous flowers, ribbon, layers, and die-cuts! Love! And my heart was stolen by your photographs! So impressive! I think you have succeeded on capturing the hummingbirds! So close-up - you have a great camera! I love those bluebirds too - we don't have any birds like that here. Also your butterfly photos are gorgeous - amazing that the missing wing does not impede him. TFS!
ReplyDeleteMy sweetest friend, your cards are stunning! That Eiffel Tower die is perfectly paired with sweet musical scores.. it's a match made in Heaven. :o) The colorful floral arrangements are so pretty and I love that you took the time to stitch the bases. I really need to get back to that... I miss that lovely detail. These birthday cards will be treasured, my dearest Lisa! Gorgeous design, as always. :o)
ReplyDeleteAnd your pictures! You have captured sweet nature so beautifully. I am especially enamored with the butterfly, of course! Not only is it gorgeous (Despite its condition!), but the background is amazing... no wonder she fluttered right there for you. :o) The Eastern Bluebird and Hummingbirds pictures are so pretty, too. Thank you for sharing your sweet pictures with us, my dearest friend. :o) Have a sparkly and blessed holiday weekend!
Hugs and blessings,
Karen
Hi Lisa....Your cards are simply stunning. Love your work...Keep up with the good work.
ReplyDeleteooooh! you have captured your winged visitors beautifully, Lisa! I recently enjoyed a lovely interlude with a hummingbird which started both of us, and yet, which resulted in a pleasing trust. It was very humbling to me. Your cards are beautiful, of course - I especially love the sunny, lemony DLArt ribbon colors! Gorgeous creations! Hope you are enjoying the beginning of a great week-end! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteHow can it be July already?!?!? Beautiful card and nature photos! Enjoy the holiday weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt breaks my heart to see 'injured' butterflies but it is even more sad that live such short lives..... that Swallowtail really is beautiful, even with it's damaged wing.
ReplyDeleteI think that may be the loveliest Eiffel Tower I have seen, it is so ornate, much like the real thing! Your cards are beautiful, I love the contrast of the delicate colour of the flowers and the striking Tower. Beautiful! Hugs, Anne xx
I am loving your Eiffel Tower cards Lisa! The papers, flowers, leaves and ribbon are just so stunning. Hummm, loving the sentiment too. Haha, especially since I just used this sentiment myself on some cards. lol Your photo's are stunning as well Lisa! My hummers don't be still long enough to get a picture of them. They even drink "hovering" over the sugar water, then they zoom off! Love the beautiful Bluebird, they don't stand still long enough either. Or else I'm just a terrible photography, which is more the case! The butterfly is gorgeous too, to bad and sad that he is missing a huge part of his wing. I wonder what happen to it?! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteYour cards are just gorgeous! I love all the flowers and ribbons...so beautiful! Your pictures are so amazing! Your colors are so vibrant and I just love the birds and butterfly. You are capturing nature beautifully. Hugs, Robin
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Lisa! I love the cool black Eiffel Tower and the layered butterflies! Your hummer shots are Great, you have such pretty birds. Here in the desert most of our birds are black, grey or brown!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as always & love your nature pics.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are Gorgeous Lisa.... such intricate details... LOVE them.... and the awesome pictures... WOW.. that poor butterfly, glad it had no problems flying.. Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
ReplyDeleteTheresa
Gorgeous cards love the pastel yellow and pinks so pretty. Beautiful photos of the hummingbird you are right they are so difficult to photo.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn
Oh my gosh Lisa, I must say I gasped when I realized about that poor butterfly! Oh no, what a horrible thing to have happen, so glad he seems to be still fluttering about. This winter sweet Brenda showed up one day with one of her fingers torn off and then a few days later Princess showed up and she was missing her left eye, I cried both times! What a wuss, right! It's just sad to not be able to help them when they're hurt.
ReplyDeleteOK, now on to those amazing hummingbird pics! I am so jealous that you get to see them so closely, and wow, your photos are amazing!! Your Eastern Bluebirds are just stunning, wow!!
Your cards are breathtaking! I love the stark black Eiffel Tower against all those romantic soft pastels, what a lovely contrast! The music background is perfect for a Paris theme and your pearl adorned butterflies are lovely as ever! Wonderful post my friend. happy weekend :)
Wow! Stunning card, as always. Love all the details and awesome color combo...beautiful photos :)

Hi Lisa,
ReplyDelete2 days a go I was on my way to a Chinese bakery with the best pastries ever and I came across the most beautiful butterfly that I have ever seen. I loved how its yellow was so bright and it was a big butterfly. I did not have my phone with me so I was not able to take a picture ..I thought of you.
I absolutely adore both of your beauties!!The flowers remind me of pink lemonade.yum!
I love the Eiffel Tower and wonderful background. Fabulous cards my friend!!

ReplyDeleteLisa, your cards are beautiful, as always! I love the bold pop of the Eiffel Tower, your stitching, and your flower arrangements are spectacular along with the cheesecloth and fluffy ribbon! (Big sigh!!) those butterflies are so light and sparkly--a perfect finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteAs for your photos: I am ga ga over birds, especially the hummers, and you have captured them beautifully! Oh, dear! That poor butterfly! One has to wonder how he manages to fly! I hope your 4th had some sparkle to it! We managed to get to the fireworks, but it was SOOO hot and lightning competed with the colored flashes! Crowds were much smaller than usual, understandably. Hugs to you!
