Hello, everyone and happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Wild Orchid Crafts blog and I'd love for you to stop by if you have time :) This month, the designers were challenged to create projects outside our
norm, so today, I have a home decor project to share with you featuring several Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and embellishments.
So, when I had the idea to decorate the letter, I had my niece Lexi in mind. I thought I'd pretty up the L for her. Then when I finished, I thought, pink, flowers, why not just keep it for myself??!! Lexi never has to know if was supposed to be for her ;) But then my Mom saw it and said, "Oh, did you make that for me?" Her name is Lana :) So, to decorate my Mom's letter, I painted it pink and used papers from Lemoncraft on the inside. I covered the outside using Andy Skinner's Mega Crackle technique.
I used an assortment of flowers to cover the letter, including Lotus, Cottage Roses, Trellis Roses, Lily Flowers, Apple Blossoms, Hip Rosebuds, Sweetheart Blossoms and Open Roses.I also used Small Double Stamens, Pearl Sprays, Flat Back Pearl String and White Mulberry Paper Leaves.
And here it is lit up:
