Alligator Birthday Card

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. The weather cooled off a bit here - thank goodness. It is still in the low 80's but so much better than it has been this last two weeks.
I have a card to enter into Birthday Sundaes's Challenge #13 - wet or dry embossing. I have wanted to use this adorable alligator since I got the Birthday Bash cart. Using Core Couture paper, I embossed him with a Sizzex embossing folder and attached him with foam dots. The orange paper is from DCWV Citrus Stack and I embossed it with the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder. The striped paper is from My Mind's eye. I cut the birdie and banners also from Birthday Bash, using Core Couture. I used a Fiskars border punch for the pink side paper. I added some light green crystal gems, and  I was so excited to use my new bakers twine from the Twinery that I won from My Craft Spot Challenge #10!! It is so awesome!! Love it sooo much!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week :D

  8. Another lovely card by your creative soul! :o) I love all the colors you used, which is so perfect for a celebratory birthday card. All the textures and embossing add such life to it, too... and of course twine! I finally have some for the first time ever and am using it on my current card. Who knew twine could be so fun?! :o) And I love that you used five gems down the edge. I most often see three accents! The more sparkle, the better! ;) Great job!

    Hugs and blessings! :o)
