Smooth Sailling

Happy Friday, everyone! Another weekend is almost upon us! Wow, how time flies! First today, I would like to sincerely thank Sabrina of Scrappin' With Sabrina for gifting me with the Butterfly Award! I am so honored and thankful! I hope you will stop by Sabrina's fabulous blog to see her amazing creations! She is so talented and creative and I just love visiting her and I know you will, too! Thanks again, Sabrina! I appreciate it!!
I have made several boat-themed cards the last few months, but I've never used this cut. The challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is "It's A Pirate's Life". The pirate ship is from Wrap it Up and oh my there were so many layers! But it's a pretty cool pirate ship, so I guess it was worth it. I cut the ship at 4" with paper from DCWV. The wavy paper is from Debbie Mumm's Noah's Ark paper pad. I embossed the black paper with the Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder. The twine is from The Twinery. I added crystals to the top of the post with my iRock -- every good pirate ship needs some bling! The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Splashtastic Summer set! This is one of my favorites...look at all the awesome sayings:

Thanks so much for stopping by! Once things settle down here in the next couple of weeks, I will be around to visit! This is one of my scheduled posts and I hope it worked! If you are reading this, I guess it did ;) Have a great day!!

  15. Oh my goodness! You should frame this and hang it on your wall! It's totally a work of art - it reminds me of a ship in a bottle. :) I love the way you set the boat into the waves, and the twine makes it feel so nautical. Such a cool card Lisa!

  32. Wonderful job as always, my crafty friend! :o) I LOVE this scene you created.. your waves look so dimensional, perfectly aided by your brilliance of adhering the ship slightly askew. The twine and bling are naturally fabulous accents. :o) So much to love about all of your work, Lisa! Thanks for making me smile tonight! :o)
