Christmas Star Ornaments

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you are having a great day!! I managed to get a bit of shopping done this weekend but not all. So I will be hustling all week to finish! I have a quick and easy project to share today: Christmas star ornaments.
I cut the stars from George and Basic Shapes, two from each paper. I used my Gypsy to attach rectangles to the edges of one side so that I could affix two back to back with glue and make them 3 dimensional. Before I attached the two sides together, I used my Scoreboard to score the edges in the paper and attached fishing line to the inside so they can hang from the tree.

The circles are a Spellbinders Nestabilities die and I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink. The sentiments are from K Andrew Designs Winter Wishes set:

I am entering these in the Little Scrap Pieces Winter Holiday challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by and for being loyal followers even when I haven't been able to post much lately! I will be having a blog candy giveaway soon, so stay tuned :)

  4. Like the 3D look of your pretty Star Ornaments. I'd like to see a behind the star scene of the stars unscored with the rectangle piece showing. Also, what size did you make these?

  19. oh my, this made me laugh....first off, I have to tell you I love these ornaments....they are full of rustic charm...but my hubby is driven insane for reasons I do not understand by these star shaped metal decorations on houses. I think I will be making some of these for a few of his Christmas gift tags. lol. I don't understand his reaction to them - unless it's just that they are so prevalent up here it bugs him, but now I'm gonna have some fun. I adore these, my friend, so I hope you don't take this wrong. I even like them on houses (when they look like they belong there anyway) and want a wooden on in the American Flag theme for over my garage door, but it'll never happen. ;)
