Our Friendship is Tea-riffic!

Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend!! We are having unseasonably warm temps here...in the 40's-50's! I know that's not super-warm, but in it seems like it in the middle of winter :)

I have been dying to use the Savory cartridge I won from my sweet friend Susan of Cricut and Grasshopper!! This is such a cool cartridge filled with lots of fun cuts!! Thank you again, Susan!! I've been doing mostly grunge/shabby projects lately, so I decided to do something a bit more classic.
The paper is from the Prima Madeline Collection...I thought it kinda looked like fine China :) I cut the teapot at 4" from Savory and I attached each layer with foam tape for dimension.
I cut the word "Tea" on black paper and then inked it with Ranger Distress Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with copper powder. Doesn't it look like hammered copper?! I attached it with foam tape for more dimension. I plucked the button from an old shirt for the lid and added some pearls. The sentiment "Our Friendship is Tea-riffic" is from the K Andrew Designs Coffee & Tea For You & Me mix and match stamp set:
To purchase your own set, or to see her entire line, including her newest releases available for pre-order, click HERE!

I am entering the card in the following challenges:
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend :)

  18. My sweet friend, this is stunning! Your paper does indeed look like fine china and the TEA is incredible! What a fabulous idea and gorgeous execution, Lisa. The touch of pearls and plucked-button is so lovely. I love the sentiment, too! You know, it was another scary week for me and after prayer, I sought comfort in two places. First, I made a card for FCCB/CWC. Then I came online and your posts just make me happy. They always do, but just know that your beautiful creations help during trying times. :o) I am so thankful for your friendship and so blessed to be a part of your crafty journey! (And no worries, the health scare is over and all is fine.) :o)

    Hugs and blessings!

  29. Hi Lisa!
Happy New Year my dear friend! I finally am getting back into the swing of things again and you were one of the first blogs I had to catch up on! I am so glad you enjoy the cartridge! You did a wonderful job with it! Before I read how you did the letters I was looking at them trying to figure it out. They look so cool! And I love that paper and the little pearls you added. Make sure you don't accidently wear that old blouse though, you wouldn't want any wardrobe malfunctions! LOL! Unless of course you are like me and pull the ones off the bottom of the blouse, I learned to do that the hard way! I am off to catch up on all the rest of your posts that I am behind on. Hope all is well and things are a bit calmer for you!
