Happy Tuesday, everyone!! I am so excited to announce that I'm now a Design Team Member for Krafty Girls!! I am so honored to be working with such amazingly talented and inspiring crafters!! The challenges are creative and fun...I hope you will play along with us!!
The theme of Challenge #9 is Mission Impossible. We want you to create a paper craft project that someone helped you create. It could be that they helped you design, cut, emboss...anything that helps you finish the project.
I recruited my Mom to help with my project :) She can sew absolutely anything!! I asked her to stitch the Spellbinders Grand Rectangle to the base of the card. I am still a novice at sewing and my lines are always wonky. Her lines are perfect, even using my cheap sewing machine instead of her nice one. Thanks, Mom!! :)
The paper is from K&Company Brenda Walton Flora & Fauna stack. The base of the card is a Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangle. The bird and cage are Spellbinders Bird Sanctuary dies, inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and popped up with foam tape for dimension. My birdie escaped his cage so he could snag a forgotten French fry...
Isn't this sentiment fun??!! It's from K Andrew Designs newest stamp set, Beautiful Thoughts:
I absolutely love all of the sentiments on this set!! It is available for pre-order now!! Click HERE to order yours or to view the entire line of stamps!!
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Krafty Girls to see the amazing projects my Design Team sisters have created for today's challenge, then link up your Mission Impossible project!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Wish I could sew like that (or had a mom to do it on hand, lol). Love your birdcage and bling :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, my sweetest friend! I am so excited for you AND for them! (Because your creativity and sweetness will be such a blessing to their fab team!) Your first project with them is simply gorgeous. Your mom did an amazing job. I love zig zag stitches but cannot do the corners uniformly. Will she teach me?! :o) Hehe. I love that she was your helper for the challenge! The colors here are so lovely and I absolutely love the addition of the ribbon to the top of the cage. The sentiment is so fun and I LOVE that you even gave her a little fry! Teehee! Exquisite sparkle, dreamy papers... another perfect piece of art. :o) Stunning card, my dear friend. I hope you have a happy night! (And thank you for being such an amazing friend! I am so thankful for you.)
