Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a fabulous week!! It's time for another challenge at Decorate to Celebrate. For Challenge #51, we are asking you to create any project to be used as a party decoration (or party supply) for a Teacher Gift or Classroom Party. Let's celebrate everything wonderful about eduction, the end of the school year and the teachers who inspire with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more :)
For my teacher gift, I created a decorative candle and box. All of the papers are from My Mind's Eye Bloom stack.
The candle was wrapped with a strip of the MME paper. The label is a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three die. The center is a Spellbinders Standard Circles Large die, inked with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. The gem circle is from Recollections. Thank You is from JustRite's Thank You Labels 20 stamp set.
The box was constructed with heavyweight cardstock from Canvas Corp. and decorated with MME papers. The flower is a Spellbinders Carnations Creations die.

ReplyDeleteMy sweetest friend, this set is positively stunning! :o) How gorgeous are those papers... you chose such a perfect use for them because their beauty can shine! It can be so hard to cover up papers. :o) I love the gorgeous label you added to the candle wrap. What teacher wouldn't love this? The plethora of sparkles is exquisite and would look so lovely near the flickering flame. Exquisite as always, my dear Lisa! I'm sending you LOTS of hugs tonight! :o)

Great project!! I may have to borrow this idea for my son's teachers :D
ReplyDeleteI am seriously thinking about scraplifting this for the kids' end of the year teacher gift. They are awesome! Who doesn't love a sweet smelling candle and beautiful gift box you can reuse. We'll see though. I haven't been in a crafty mood with being sick lately.
ReplyDeleteYour candle and box are beautiful Lisa. I love all the detail you've added and your DP is so pretty. I can see this gift working for so many occasions .
ReplyDeleteI ordered a sizzix candy cup die( feel slightly guilty as of course my Cricut could have cut one!) and have been cutting over 40 of them and decorating with golf clubs and flags!! I could make life easier but it's hard not to embellish things especially as it' s for Ossi's Good Luck party!
