Friday means a new Fun Friday Challenge at Little Scrap Pieces!! Our theme this week is in honor of Independence Day in America. So we want to see your projects that Let Freedom Ring :)
The base of the tag is manilla cardstock die cut with the Tim Holtz Tag & Bookplate die. A background stamp from Stampabilities with the lyrics to America the Beautiful was stamped in TH Antique Linen Distress Ink. The rays stamp from TH's Psychedelic Grunge set was stamped with Faded Jeans and Fired Brick Distress Inks. The stars are from the same set, stamped with the same two Distress Inks. The stars and rays were outlined with a Sakura White Gelly Roll pen. The sentiments "Home of the Free," "Because of the Brave" and "God Bless America" are from K Andrew Designs Freedom Isn't Free stamp set stamped with Versafine Onyx ink. The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend and our challenge hostess Karen of Little Scrap Pieces.
The stars were punched out and then stamped with the stripes stamp from Wendy Vecchi's It's More Flower Art set in Faded Jeans and Fired Brick. The edges of the tag were inked with Walnut Distress Ink.

This is great, very patriotic! I love how that red ink looks. I think I have it but I'm not much of a stamper and I'm a bit intimidated. I may have to give it a try now. Thanks for the inspiration!

ReplyDeleteI know what ya mean....oh where, oh where did June go, yikes! The summer is cruisin right along, Ugh! I am swamped to...I hate that feelin'! Oh well, hope to get some things done this wknd. we have a wedding out of town but hope to have Sunday maybe to myself...NOT! Haha! I will get back on track soon:)
