Happy Friday!! I hope all of my friends and followers in the USA had a safe and happy 4th of July celebration yesterday!! And I hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend :)
Friday means a Fun Friday challenge at Little Scrap Pieces. The challenge this week is Stars and Stripes.
This was a quick and easy card to make. The base was cut with a Spellbinders Card Creator Matting Basics A die in heavyweight cardstock from Canvas Corp. A Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder was inked with Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink and then the paper was run through the Cuttlebug for a letterpress effect.
The star was created the same way. The star is a Spellbinders Star die and the Cuttlebug Star embossing folder was inked with TH Faded Jeans. It was attached with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Sweet July stamp set, stamped in Versafine Onyx ink.
I am entering this in the following challenges:

ReplyDeleteMy sweetest friend, one of my favorite things about this card is you've shown that a card need not have ten zillion elements to be outstanding! Simplicity done well can certainly be extraordinary and effective... such as this beauty of a card! I love the embossing/letterpress effect with those perfect shades and the sentiment is marvelous. This is such a lovely way to honor our grand flag. Beautifully designed and crafted, per usual, my talented friend! :o) I hope your day is filled with sparkles. :o)
