Sending Love at Christmas

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a wonderful first week of December!! We are under a winter storm warning, with it expected to hit tonight with lots of snow and ice. We are in the area with a strong possibility of losing power, so I may not be able to visit you for a few days. I'm trying to get in a quick post before I head to the store for supplies, just in case :)

I have a Christmas bag to share with you today. I started with a Copper Foil Engraving Blank from Royal Langnickel...this stuff is so awesome!! It really makes the embossing pop. I also have silver, gold and rainbow blanks, so you will be seeing lots more projects with it from me :) A Spellbinders Roman Romance M-Bossibilities embossing folder was used and then sanded to bring out the copper and awesome texture.

The ornament is a Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments 2011. The stamp is from JustRite's Deck the Halls stamp set. A Spellbinders Classic Circle Small was used for the inside sentiment, which is also from JustRite's Deck the Halls set. The stamps were stamped with Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Ink and then heat embossed with copper embossing powder. The sparkly copper ribbon is from my stash.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. JustRite Friday Challenge #111 - It's in the Bag
  2. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Make Your Own Background
  3. DL.Art - December Linky
  4. Sunday Funday - December Linky

  13. My sweetest friend, first and foremost I am sending up prayers for you and everyone in the storm's path! I hope it goes through without even the tiniest problem. **extra hugs** Your bag is beyond exquisite, Lisa! All of the incredible detail is awe-inspiring. I had never heard of those engraving blanks! Amazing what you've done with them, not to mention all of the beauty atop it. The ornament is gorgeous (who knew copper could be so festively pretty?) and I love the ribbon you placed with it. Beautifully designed as always, my treasured friend. It is absolutely a gift in and of itself. :o) Stay safe and warm! I'll be checking in on you. :o)

    Extra sparkly hugs and blessings!

  15. Wow! What a rich, elegant look you have achieved with this fabulous technique. This is really stunning - who cares what's inside...lol! Beautiful work my friend!
I hope you stay warm and safe. We hit 80 degrees here today breaking the record high from 1978. It's been crazy hot and humid and I thought for sure we were in for bad weather. It sure felt like tornado weather. So far, so good - just unseasonably warm. Bundle up my friend!

  18. Such a beautiful bag. Love the embossing and design. Anyone would love to receive this. I know I would. Love it. I sure hope you don;t loose power. We were at 60% today is will be snowing in the morning. Last Saturday night we lost power during night and it was off for 8 hours, coldest night so far this year it was 14%. It was not weather related it was due to a large wreck. Stay warm my friend.
    Have a creative day.

  27. Simply stunning. I've just ordered the Mboss folder you used, as I think it is just so elegant. Where do you get your copper blanks? This looks so enticing and made up into such a gorgeous card. Your S/B ornament was the frosting on the cake. Hope you are faring ok in this ice storm, and that your power stays on. We heard from a friend in NW Oklahoma about the ice & snow and minus digit temps expected ...so stay safe & warm. Hope you got your emergency cupboard stocked in time to stay off the roads. TFS & Hugs

  30. Lisa, thanks for the info on the copper blanks. May have to check my local Joann's tomorrow (it's a very small store...not like the one I love in Fla.!) If I have time, will go online to see about the copper blanks. I have a couple small sheets that went with the Artisan machine I bought, but not used yet. (On sale! Can't pass up a sale!) Hugs, and hope your weather is ok. Hearing from others that Ohio & Pennsylvania are now getting heavy snows.
