April Showers Bring May Flowers

Happy Monday!! Can you believe March is half over already!! Spring is a mere four days away - yay :) It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a springy card to share with you today.


This is about as CAS as it gets for me :) I struggled not to add layers and flowers and embellies, but I wanted the new dies from the February 2015 release to be the centerpiece of this card.


The rain drop paper is from Prima's All About Me paper stack. I used the new Whispers Rain Boots - my favorite die from this release - and Whispers Closed Umbrella. I covered them in Glossy Accents for a shiny sheen to make it look like they've been out in the rain. The sentiment is from the Michaels dollar bin. I stamped it and then cut out the words. The edges were inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.


A Whispers Daisy Flair was used along the bottom to represent May Flowers.

    I love that you put the shiny accents on the boots and umbrella and I love that raindrop paper! I think this card is absolutely adorable, both inside and out!

    I know...mid March already?! Eeek!!! Your card is adorable and very fitting for Spring! The raindrop background and inside of the card are amazing :) I love the rain boots and umbrella!     This is ridiculously cool! It reminds me of one of those graphic, sketchy old advertising posters for some reason. Something just seems so pop art about it.

    What a fun card Lisa, I love those boots and that umbrella. Yes, I'm sure this was a challenge for you not to put flowers on this card. But you have let the dies shine perfectly on their own.     Love your die cuts and the use of the Glossy Accents, Lisa. Such a cute card!!! I completely agree on it being hard not to go heavy on the embellishments. It's just downright un-natural.
