Happy Monday!! Can you believe March is half over already!! Spring is a mere four days away - yay :) It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a springy card to share with you today.
This is about as CAS as it gets for me :) I struggled not to add layers and flowers and embellies, but I wanted the new dies from the February 2015 release to be the centerpiece of this card.
The rain drop paper is from Prima's All About Me paper stack. I used the new Whispers Rain Boots - my favorite die from this release - and Whispers Closed Umbrella. I covered them in Glossy Accents for a shiny sheen to make it look like they've been out in the rain. The sentiment is from the Michaels dollar bin. I stamped it and then cut out the words. The edges were inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
A Whispers Daisy Flair was used along the bottom to represent May Flowers.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
1) DL.Art - March Linky
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

I would definitely wear those cool boots. It would be great if we got some rain here-our grass is almost dead from all of the water restrictions. The inside of your card turned out so pretty. Have a great day.

ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is ridiculously cool! It reminds me of one of those graphic, sketchy old advertising posters for some reason. Something just seems so pop art about it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, love the blue and white colors together. Those rain boots and umbrella look awesome, especially with the glossy accents! The inside of your card is just as beautiful, you did an amazing job with the CAS card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card Lisa, I love those boots and that umbrella. Yes, I'm sure this was a challenge for you not to put flowers on this card. But you have let the dies shine perfectly on their own. I thought you stenciled on those raindrops, and here to come it is paper. It is the perfect paper for these dies. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWow Lisa this card is really stunning. I love all the details...I want to touch it! You're so very creative.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh... Mid March :( It was just January wasn't it?? Your card is just perfect for spring although not in my neck of the woods. We may have skipped spring all together and pushed right into summer :) I love your boots and umbrella, I wish I had a reason to buy rain boots-so CUTE!!
