Die-Versions Mother's Day Blog Hop and Challenge


Happy Tuesday!! In honor of National Scrapbook Day and Mother's Day we on the Die-Versions Design Team have come up with a fun Blog Hop and Card Challenge. The Mother's Day Card Challenge will begin on May 5th and run thru May 11th and the winners will be announced on the Die-Versions Blog on May 15th. The Design Team will be picking 5 winners from the Mother's Day Card Challenge. The theme for this Challenge is to make a Mother's Day Card. To be eligible to be one of the 5 Lucky winners of a $20.00 Die-Versions Gift Card you have to comply with the following:
  1. Your card must be newly created and PLEASE, no back linking
  2. Please be a follower of the Die-Versions Blog along with the Design Team Members Blogs (listed below)
  3. You need to leave a comment on the DV Blog and each of the Design Team Members blogs (listed below)
  4. You must link your Mother's Day card with the inlinkz link on the DV Blog
  5. We would love it if you used a Die-Versions die in your card, but that is not mandatory!

And now for my project...


 I created two Mother's Day cards using several Die-Versions products. The cards are pretty much the same except for the colors.


I used a Whispers Hexagon Background die for the background of the cards. A Whispers Ring of Hearts die was popped up with foam tape and placed behind a Whispers Butterfly Punch Border die. Sticky tape was placed behind both the Ring of Hearts die and the Butterfly Punch Border and then sugar coating was sprinkled inside for a beautiful sparkle.


The light is a Whispers Gas Lamp Sign die...I cut off the sign part so it would fit with the design. The butterfly is a Wee Petites Buggy die. Mom was cut from A Little Mint Font. The button on the ribbon is a Wee Petites Buttons die.

    My sweetest friend, you had me so confused with a Tuesday post! ;) I thought I lost a day somewhere! Your cards are exquisite, lovely, and every adjective that projects beauty! When reading your post, the first die that came to mind was that butterfly border! I was so happy to see you used it. The mix of dies is spectacular and I adore the flowers and crinkle ribbon.     Both cards are simply as lovely as can be. Each color created such a different 'feel' on the card, and the elements- as always - are beautiful. I love the way you combine the dies in layers, adding in the bling with the glitters and of course those luscious flowers. How do you mail these wonderful creations without crushing those blooms?!
