Tim's 12 Tags of 2015 - August

Happy Saturday!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! Just a quick post this evening to share my take on Tim's 12 Tags of 2015 - August.


You can see Tim's tag HERE. I followed his instructions, using products I had on hand. Tim used Adventure Words/Blocks, which I don't have, so I used his Handwritten Love Thinlets instead. And I didn't have metallic gold paint, so I used metallic copper.

    Wonderful Tim Holtz Tag. Like that it has a school vibe to it. Especially like the calligraphy nib; as you well know I do calligraphy. I had the Adventure block words and it took me 3 tries to get them punched where they were not too near the edge. I have the magnetic plate and used washi tape to hold the pieces in place.

    I love what you did with this tag. I have not heard of this challenge before so I had to go see what Tim created. You did a wonderful job of creating the style and mood of his tag, but made it your design.

    Great take on the tag, and I always enjoy more, seeing how crafters adapt the on-hand supplies to recreate the look of Tim's tags. This one is just so well done, and I LOVE all the red spatters against that blue gray background. The embellies you've chosen look just fine, and I think Tim would be so pleased! TFS & Happy Sunday.     My sweetest friend, your tag is incredible! I know how much you love Tim's goodies, so it warms my heart when you're able to have a little play with them. The background is spectacular and your modifications only make the tag more amazing. :o) The vintage feeling is beautifully done... everything is marvelous, my dearest Lisa!     Well done on Tim's tag! I love your colorful background and genius idea to use the script dies on yours...it just didn't look right on mine, but here it looks just perfect with these two young ones. You did a fabulous job on the shadowing, too! Thank you for your help with the foam...I would never guess that would go through the Big Kick! I've got to get some of that; I hope our local Joann store carries it! You are a fabulous artist, and so sweet, too! Hugs! Just added myself to your followers.
