Scrapy Land Challenge #46 - Emboss It

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land. The theme this week is Emboss it, either heat or dry embossing, plus a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from. You could win a $15 gift certificate to shop at Scrapy Land!!

For my cards I used gorgeous Rose Garden papers from Craft and You. I heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiments on a Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 1 die, that I cut halfway and then flipped over to get the double fishtail ends.

I added a layer of tulle between the layers. Texture paste was applied through a TCW Organic Matter stencil. The beautiful crinkle ribbon is from DL.ART.

In the top corner is a Die-Versions Whispers Valentine Lace doily die. The butterfly is an Impression Obsession Medium Butterflies die, covered with Sparkle N Sprinkle Crystal Ice.

A Memory Box Mansfield Frame die was used in the center with the wood grain paper. Tucked among the Wild Orchid rafts flowers are Sue Wilson Mosiac Leaves dies and Elizabeth Craft Curvy Leaves dies.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your Emboss It project using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

  3. Full of gorgeousness!! Clever idea to flip the banner (now why didn't ever think of that..lol)....and I might 'need' those banners, too (not that I don't have any..lol)!! Another beauty my friend full of all your lovely details!! Sorry I have 'been missing in action' so to speak...but we were gone on vacation, then had a family reunion here at my house last weekend...so I have been going crazy trying to just keep up my DT commitments...but things has 'slightly' slowed down now...whew!!

  5. Wow Lisa, I am going to have to rename my Pinterest board 'Lisa's Cards' because most of the time when I hit that button, it's one of your cards!! lol. So gorgeous! Love that paper, do you buy that in the US? You used some wonderful die shapes to create your panels, that circular one tucked in behind, is such a lovely addition! Gorgeous floral arrangements and shabby bow as always! I love the lightly distressed edges, adds such a soft but effective vintage feel to your card, and your layering is awesome too!!

Hope you have a lovely hump-day today my friend. I'm off to the lake to feed the geese. PS. Got my first Woodpecker visitor the other day thanks to you!! You are awesome! hugs :)

  28. Don't you love those little IO butterflies, Lisa? I do - they are amazing, and so perfectly sized! Your use of the SW leaves always makes me smile. I need to get those - hopefully soon - very pretty - and your use of the dies to layer the "fencing" in the middle of your card is gorgeous! I am casing that idea for sure - the way you have lined up the fencing. Beautiful card. I always enjoy visiting your blog, seeing your smile, walking through your gardens, and enjoying your companionship through your dear artwork. Have a lovely day, sweet friend! xo

  53. I'm with Brenda, on saying the same thing about your lovely cards! I really liked the way you've matched the 'wood lines' on the inside die shape with the dp pattern. Also love the way you've layered the tulle. That's a wonderful frame effect you have with the top left lacy die placed as it is. Of course the gorgeous flowers and ribbons, all combine to create such a lush, layered card of beauty. TFS & Hugs.
