DL.ART Thankful Thursday #200 - Flowers

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for a new Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART and the theme is (my personal favorite!!) Flowers. If you use the code l01210, Diana will give you 10% off your DL.ART purchase. And have you seen the new Intimate Bundle?? Gorgeous!!

For my cards, I used papers from Craft and You. I applied texture paste through a The Crafter's Workshop stencil for texture.

The butterflies are a Tim Holtz Sizzix Butterflies On the Edge die. The beautiful crinkle ribbon is Pink Champagne from Vintage Vinyeard Bundle.

This ribbon is Rose, also from Vinage Vineyard Bundle. I used a wide variety of Wild Orchid Crafts for these cards. Tucked underneath are Elizabeth Craft Curvy Leaves, Memory Box Chloe Stems, Paper Smooches Foilage 2 and a Prima Persian Lace die. The Guipure Lace and White Sissal is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1) Simon Stays Stamp Wednesday Challenge - For a Special Lady/Girl
2) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
3) Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Anything Goes

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your flower project!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

This next photo isn't a great one, but I was so excited to spot the first butterfly of the year!! I wanted to get a better snap, but it flew away before I could. March 8th seems a little early to me, but we've had a pretty mild winter. I'm worried for it's safety since the temps are supposed to drop to the 20's this weekend with a forecast of snow :(

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day!!

  7. Is there anything more beautiful than butterflies and flowers...your cards are gorgeous, the colours are beautiful and I love those touches of lace.

It looks a bit like the Comma butterfly that we see here in the UK but it doesn't normally come out until May or June... I do hope yours survives!! Hugs, Anne xx

  10. Yeah! Your first butterfly! We only don't see butterflies if the weather is raining or if it has been below freezing for a few days. There is always such hope in seeing butterflies, aren't there? Your cards are lovely, Lisa. Exquisitely feminine and just soooooo beautiful! xo

  41. WOW! I love how your cards always come in pairs! And I can also relate how this might happen. Somehow I rarely make one card at a time! Probably because when I cannot make up my mind on something if I am choosing between two papers for instance, I end up making two! These are gorgeous Lisa, and what beautiful flowers! Happy weekend. It looks just beautiful on those papers--your stenciling is immaculate! The On the Edge die is such a clever addition--why didn't I think of that with my last card??! The flowers as always are arranged to perfection! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this set of cards! Hugs!

  59. Good morning my friend. I'm just playing some catch up today on your blog, seems I've fallen behind once again, doh! These are simply breathtaking!! I love the papers, you really do have the most amazing collection of papers and you use them all so perfectly! The butterfly border at the top is wonderful and the subtle texture pattern you added is a lovely touch! Your flower arrangement are, of course, perfection!! I mean, wowzers, I just added about a dozen things to my WOC wish list! Laces and leaves and butterflies, oh my! Love both tones of pink, can't even pick a favourite because they are both just delightful!!

I'm so jealous of your butterfly photo Lisa. You know, I didn't see a single butterfly all year last year, what the deuce! I hope this year will bring one or two my way, but keep those pics coming just in case! hugs :)
