Birthday Cards for Wild Orchid Crafts

Happy Monday, everyone!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Wild Orchid Crafts blog and I'd love for you to visit if you have time :) I have a couple of birthday cards to share with you using an assortment of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and embellishments.

I've used Pink Magnolias, Cottage Roses in two sizes, Lite Pink Lilies and Baby Pink Babies Breath for this card. The papers are from Craft and You and the ribbon is from DL.ART.

I also used Bead Berry Spray Clusters, Off-White Guipure Lace, White Pearl Drop Trim and Self Adhesive Pearls.

Spring Celebrate Card for Die-Versions

Happy Sunday, everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and since Spring is just around the corner, I've created these cards to celebrate the new season using several Die-Versions dies.

The papers for these cards are from Prima. The base is a Whispers Morocco Background die and I layered it over clear plastic. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from DL.ART.

A Whispers Birdhouse Branch die was cut three times for shading and layering. Celebrate and Thank You are Express Edges dies.

I am sad to say this will be my last post for the Die-Versions Design Team. It was a tough decision to step away, but life has just gotten so busy. I have truly enjoyed designing for Die-Versions the past three years and I want to thank you for your support :)

Scrapping4fun Challenges Guest Designer

Happy Thursday!! I'm so excited to be a guest designer for Scrapping4fun Challenges this week. The theme for Challenge #85 is Boy, For Dad, Masculine.

Masculine cards are very hard for me. I struggle if I can't use flowers and ribbons and bling. So, for my cards, I created mixed media Father's Day and birthday cards.

I started with heavyweight cardstock and covered it with sand texture paste for a grainy texture. Once it dried, I covered it with black gesso. Then I used Finnabair's Rust Paste set to create the rusted look.

The gears are a Memory Box die and I used the same technique as the background paper: sand texture paste, black gesso and Finnabair Rust Paste. 

I'm totally addicted to this stuff!! I want to rust everything!!

Happy is a My Creative Time die, embossed with copper embossing powder. Birthday and Father's Day are also My Creative Time stamps.

I have a couple of quick pictures to share with you today. This was the view from my kitchen window this morning!! It's not a good picture at all and it was taken through the screen, which you can kinda see, but I wanted to show you how many deer came for breakfast :) Most of them were pretty young. I wish I could have stepped onto the deck to take a clearer picture but they would all scatter quickly.

And I snapped this guy the other day, also not a great pic and also through the screen. I wonder if the top picture is his harem ;)

Hi, everyone!! March is here, which means Spring is just around the corner!! The first Wednesday of the month means it's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land. I used papers from Maja Designs for my baby cards. An Avery Elle Dotted die was used on the bottom layer.

Along the back, I used Neat & Tangled Seeing Stars die. The frame is an Frantic Stamper Stitched Bracket Frame.

Baby is a Die-Versions Sweet Wordlet die. A La-La Land Stork die was layered over the frame. The banner is also from the Avery Elle Dotted die set.

Layered under the gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are Elizabeth Craft Pair of Leaves, Elizabeth Craft Curvy Leaves, Memory Box Windswept Stems, Sue Wilson Mosaic Leaves and Impression Obsession Open Scroll Vine dies. The beautiful ribbon is from DL.ART.
