Disco Invite and Several Thanks

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all have exciting plans for the holiday weekend! I have to thank some people before I get to my project today. The fabulous Amy of Love to Crop noticed that my blinkie guided you to photobucket instead of my blog. I fixed the code so those of you who have my blinkie, if you get a chance and don't mind to change to the new code, I would really appreciate it! Thank you so much Amy for discovering this - clueless me would have probably never noticed!

I want to sincerely thank two amazing crafters: Diana of DL.ART for passing along the Irresistably Sweet Blogger Award, The Versitale Blogger award and A Thing of Beauty award to me and Kim of Crazy About Scrappin for passing along the Irrisistably Sweet Blogger award to me! Diana and Kim are so incredibly creative and talented and I am honored to have received these awards from them! Please stop by their blogs -- I love visiting them to see what beautiful new creations they come up with and I know you will to! They are so awesome! Thanks so much Diana and Kim!
Okay, on to my project! The very first challenge for the new Cricut 360 is to make an invitation inviting people to any kind of celebration. I have several more invites to make for my Disco birthday party, which I posted at Decorate to Celebrate, so this challenge was so timely for me! For this invite, I used the Cuttlebug Spots and Dots embossing folder and cut the word Disco at 2" out of orange Core Couture paper. I cut the word Disco four more times in the different colors and added pop dots behind each layer so it has a kind of stair-step effect. The dancing couple are from Groovy Times, cut at 4 1/2. I used scraps of the silver holographic paper to make a mini disco ball in the corner. 'You're Invited' is a rub on and the cool ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. To see the other decorations I have created for the party, click HERE or visit Decorate to Celebrate and enter the challenge while you are there!

Thanks so much for stopping by and thank you again Amy, Diana and Kim! Have a great Friday night everyone :D
