Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far! It is hot and humid here but the sun is shining so I'm not complaining! I have a card for this week's special Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #13, A Get Well Card for Angelo. The challenge is to make a card for a fellow blogger's grandson who is recuperating from brain surgery.
I saw a card like this in a book once, and for the life of me, I couldn't find it again to get the directions or give credit. I really liked it when I saw it and filed it away in my mind to use someday. This is my take on the card from memory. The blue paper is Core'dinations Roy G Biv and the rest is from my stash. I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder on all of the papers. I cut the little boy on the rocking horse from Nursery Rhymes. Get well soon is a stamp from my stash.
What I thought was so cool about this card was the way the flap lifts up to reveal the message. I cut three sides with my paper cutter and then scored the other. I punched two holes in the top to tie the bow. For anyone who wants to make a card to send to Angelo, visit Whimsical Wednesday for the details.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!! :D
