Happy 4th of July and a Sunny Card!

Happy 4th of July! I hope you are all having a great day! BBQing maybe? Or a picnic? Fireworks later? Whatever you do to enjoy the holiday, I hope you have a safe, happy celebration! Before I head off to a bbq, I have a card to enter into a few challenges today.
The background blue and yellow papers are from My Mind's Eye. I used Life's a Beach to cut the lifeguard chair and starfish. The snorkeling boy and quote are from Pack Your Bags. The water is from Going Places, and I embossed it with the swirls folder. I tore the edges for the sand and embossed it with swiss dots, and then brushed walnut distress ink over it. I used Core Couture Cosmo Cricket woodgrain paper for the chair and then sanded it to bring out the texture. The twine is from The Twinery and the button from my stash.

    How fun is this card?! I love all the cuts and the embossing looks fabulous! Great idea to sand the chair and the torn edges technique works really well on this design.     How cute, and thanks for showing the lifeguard chair. Sometimes it takes other people using a cart. to make you want to go back and revisit what's on it.

    Oh this card is soo cute. I'm sure you will win! All of your creations are beautiful.
    I hope you have a blast on this fourth of July. My son is sad he's not in HI, so he could pop some fireworks.But I told him it's ok you can still see it on the beautiful sky. Take care and be safe!
