For my Day 2 project, I again turned to one of my favorite carts...Campin Critters!!
I just love the scenes on this cart!! I chose to use the wild west for my wilderness project today. I cut the background at 4". I embossed the mountains with the Distressed Lines embossing folder, the cacti with Swiss Dots and the desert with Seeing Spots. I attached each layer with foam tape.
The happy rattler is from Animal Kingdom and I added googly eyes.
Yes, I know there aren't bears in the desert, but this guy is so sdorable and I thought he would look so cute peeking around the cactus...hiding from the happy rattler :) "Sss up" is from K Andrew Designs All About Animals stamp set. I attached the rattler with a homemade wobble so he shimmies and shakes!! If you would like to know how to make one of these, my dear friend Amy of Love to Crop has a wonderful tutorial that you can find HERE!!

ReplyDeleteMy dear friend, this is fabulous! I really need this cart for these marvelous scenes. I love how the embossing popsssss (teehee!) right off the project. Only you, Lisa, could make a snake so cute! I love the googly eyes and that you made him shimmy! Fantastic work as always. And you know what? I love that you added the peeking bear! One of the best things about our craft is we get to use our imagination and do what our crafty hearts desire. :o) You always make me a happy campin' critter! Hehe.

ReplyDeleteLisa Darling, this is so clever!!! I love that cartridge too, but have only got to use it a few times so far. Did you weld the images to a cactus or are the images like that? I remember critters hiding behind trees, but not cacti! Can you tell me how you did it? Also, is the cactus cut from the same cart? Please email me or leave a comment on my blog.
