Merry Christmas

Happy Friday, everyone!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog...you can see the post HERE. I am sharing a project with you today using a die from the latest Die-Versions Christmas in July release. As fast as this year is flying by, Christmas will be here before we know it :)

For this card, I used the new Whispers Merry Christmas Script die. Isn't it beautiful!! It's such a fabulous focal point for cards. The papers are from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Christmas stack. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA. The organza ribbon was dyed with Tim Holtz Festive Berries Distress Stain. A Wee Petite Button die was used on the center.

The Whispers Merry Christmas Script die was cut twice, once in black for a shadow and once in grunge board. It was colored with TH Festive Berries Distress Ink. I then applied crackle medium to script for some texture. Once it dried, I added TH Tea Dye Distress Ink in the cracks to make them more visible.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - August Linky
  2. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a fabulous weekend :)

  23. Indeed, this gorgeous die makes a marvelous focal point, and I love the way you add the shadow behind it. That never seems to work so well when I try. Love it here though. The papers were so pretty with this lovely red sentiment, and the dyed ribbon was such a soft color to go with the brilliant red lettering. Great card. Happy wkend, and TFS. Hugs

  34. Lisa, I don't see an email to contact you, so I'll just leave an Outlander comment here! I am so thrilled to find another lover of these books. I've been hooked since I read the first one (Dragonfly! - out of sequence). I was so concerned that even with DG as consultant - that the movie would not stay true to the storyline. I do realize that of course it cannot be exactly the same, words don't translate to video always. But I think the company has done an excellent job: from casting, to the scripts and I have watched the ep two times. And going downstairs to watch tonight's premier. Our cable provider had a sneak showing last week, and I got it on my DVR. I did it from On Demand, but then I searched all the Starz channels to find out which specific channel has it, so that I can also record to the DVR! Her MOBY (#8) is also extremely well done...I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Saved it for about a month as we planned to go to Fla. Then plans had to be postponed, so I went ahead & read it. I had intended to read it while at the daughter's, sitting outside and watching the boats go by! If you haven't bought that yet, oh you must!!! You have some great entertainment waiting on you. Will be interested in hearing your feedback! Hugs

I have moderate comments on, so no one but myself will see your info. Sorry you missed the show, but don't despair! Hugs
