Happy Sunday and happy first day of February!! Wow, how did that happen??!! January just flew by!! At least we are that much closer to spring ;) I actually managed a little time in my craft room this weekend!! It seems like forever since I've made a card that wasn't for a DT commitment or guest design spot, and forever since I've been able to enter challenges, so that's what I worked on this weekend. I came across this old MME Paper stack when I was doing some cleaning and I had just enough scraps left to make a card :)
I used several My Creative Time products to create this card. MCT Stitched Rectangular Frames was used and I actually stitched a little on it. My poor neglected sewing machine. An MCT Build a Scripty stamp was stamped in Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress ink on the background. The edges were inked with TH Victorian Velvet, as were all of the edges of the card. The Eiffel Tower is from MCT's Springtime in Paris set and it was heat embossed with vanilla embossing powder and popped up with foam tape for dimension. Paris is from the same set and it was heat embossed in vanilla embossing powder as well. It was stamped on a MCT Stitched Oval die. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are from Memory Box.
The banners are Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets dies. The button on the crinkle ribbon is a Die-Versions Button die.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
2. My Creative Time - Photo Inspiration or Sketch (I used both)
3. DL.Art - February Linky
4. Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Saturday
5. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Neglected Tools (sewing machine)
6. 613 Avenue Crafts - Anything Goes
7. Crafting From the Heart - Anything Goes
8. Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Right now the idea of Springtime in Paris seems like a great idea...it's rainy, gray & rather cold in my part of the world. Am loving the softness of the warm pinks & creams with this pretty image against the lovely papers. MME has some wonderful patterns, & lucky you to find some you could put to good use on this card. Love the added zigzag stitching on the stitched rectangle and the fun look of the banner trio. Beautiful card. TFS & Hugs too. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI agree January flew by, Corbin turned 8 on the 27 and it is hard to believe that in 27 days I will be 55. I sure wish time would come to a stand still. Just look at this beauty you created with scrap papers, and what beautiful papers they are. Love the embossing and banners. Sure makes a person want to take a trip to Paris.
ReplyDeleteHave a creative day.
