Thinking of You

For the Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop, click HERE!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you today using one of the dies from the newest release. If you use the code lisa15 you'll receive 15% off your regular price Die-Versions order.

I try not to go overboard with layers and embellishments when I'm showcasing Die-Versions dies to keep them as the focal point. The Whispers Butterfly Collage die is from the newest release. I cut it twice and then fussy cut around the butterfly and added glitter so it sparkles. I only attached it at the body so the wings can flutter :)

I popped it up with foam tape for dimension and added some pearls. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from DL.ART. On the bow, I used a Wee Petites Button die, which is not currently in stock.

Remember, if you use the code lisa15 you'll receive 15% off your regular price Die-Versions order!! And speaking of butterflies...

I spotted this beauty the other day!! I tried to look it up to see what kind it is and I've narrowed it down to the Aphrodite Fritillary or the Great Spangled Fritillary.

Here's the underside of the wings. I can't tell which one it is, so I decided it was the Aphrodite Fritillary...just because I like the name :)

And this is the Frightened Aphrodite Fritillary...notice who decided to photobomb the picture (and scare her away?!!)

One last note...bidding ends tomorrow at 11 pm for the card and matching gift box set I created for the Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The current winning bid is $40. To place your bid, please visit the original post HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

  2. Lisa, I cannot keep up with your amazing work at your inspiring blog, but this I'm excited to have a few minutes of time on the computer this morning to have a quick look at all I've missed. This card is so pretty; the colors are some of my favorites and your embellishments are just perfect to showcase this lovely die. I love how you've cut the butterfly and adhered him to allow him to flutter! And oh, that bow is just gorgeous with those blooms! So pretty!

I seems I've missed the bird card as well, so I'll be checking that out, too! Another gorgeous design with some brilliant colors!

Your photography is amazing--I especially like the photobombed shot!:) I'm curious about what type of flower that bud they are landing on might be. Was thinking of your bird photography over the weekend! Love seeing all your photos! I'm off to see some more of your lovely work and to be inspired! Big hugs!

  45. YOur cards are beautiful. Wow the butterfly is so special and the elements around it do make it the focal point. You definitely showcase diversions dies to the max. I never realized how awesome they are until I just used them. I have never used a die that works as well as they do. Your photos are fabulous. The bee really did not ruin the shot that is one awesome capture of nature. Have a blessed day my friend
