Mixed Media Birthday Wishes for Wild Orchid Crafts

Happy Monday!! It's my turn to post on the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and I have two mixed media birthday cards to share with you today, featuring several flowers and embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts.


I used texture paste through stencils for texture. For this card, I used Open Roses, Cottage Roses, Apple Blossoms, Lilies and Hip Rosebuds in Aqua.


For this card, I used Cottage Roses, Lilies, Sweetheart Blossoms and Hip Rosebuds in Blue.


Additionally, I used White Mulberry Paper Leaves, Pearl Stems, Pearl Drop Lace and Lace. The crinkle ribbon and twine are from DL.ART.

    What awesome designs. Love the way you've combined a (sort of!) grunge technique (the paste through a stencil) with the more delicate and feminine design of the lush roses and florals. I think the tags and pocket made such a unique and interesting design. Just love the pretty lace border as well. The black background was a perfect canvas to show off these stunning floral displays.     Absolutely stunning Lisa! This is so different from your shabby pastel cards and yet it still has a wonderful feminine quality that I adore! The high contrast between the black and white elements and those gorgeous blue floral arrangements is completely eye catching and so elegant! The tucked in tags are a great design detail, love the baker's twine! Wonderful soft touches such as the lace and the pearl teardrop trim, the perfect way to add just the right amount of softness! A gorgeous set my friend!
