Water You Up To

Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope you are all having a great weekend and those of you on the East coast are safe from Hurricane Irene.
I have a card to enter into a couple of challenges today :) For this card I used my new Elegant Edges cartridge that I won from my dear friend Sherrie of Sherrie Scraps With Passion! Oh my gosh, I so LOVE this cart!! It is my new favorite! There are so many fun cuts! Thank you so much again, Sherrie!! I welded the base of the card on my Gypsy. I thought the loops could be interpreted to be jungle leaves. The hippo is from Create a Critter and I flipped her, just to be different :) The paper is all Core'dinations Core Couture. I used a K Andrew stamp from her Splashtastic Summer set.

    Like the cute hippo & the border. When I use core'dinations textured paper with Cricut it tears most of the time. What settings do you use?

    I LOVE this, my sweet crafty friend! :o) The colors are positively yummy! That bright appley green is one of my favorites and it sure provides a perfect backdrop for purples and blues. You made every color stand out, which essentially means you're all things fabulous. :o) But we knew that already. I love the googly eyes, the heaps of sparklies, and the fabulous shape! I've yet to use that edge, but am anxious to. It's like a jungle party. :o) Such a smart use of it. Love the punnieness and how you used the flower cut-out on the card. And the ribbon makes me swoon.. as always. This is such a happy card, Lisa. Whoever gets it is truly blessed. :o) (OH and that's such a bummer about your missed challenge... with so many opportunities but so much going on outside of crafting, it's hard for us to keep track! What a disappointment, though. At least I knew ahead of time. ;) Thank you for being such a lovely bloggy friend!
