Family Fun!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope you are having a great day! I have a card for a couple of challenges today. The challenge this week at Cooking With Cricut is Family Fun. Most summers growing up, my family loved to camp. This card is in honor of those wonderful trips!

I love the Campin Critters cart and I haven't used this cut of car and camper yet. I made a step card for the different layers. The trees are cut at 4" and I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The sign in the back is hard to read but the two arrows to the right point to "camp sites" and "lake" and the sign pointing left is the "road home". I used a K Andrew Designs stamp from her Positive Thoughts stamp set. Click HERE to purchase your own set!

Here is a side view. I used foam tape to give the sun dimension, to attach the sign, car and camper and the family fun sentiment on the front.

Recipe
  • K Andrew Designs Positive Thoughts Stamp Set
  • Campin Critters - trees at 4", car and camper at 2 1/2", sign at 2"
  • Doodlecharms - sun at 1 1/2"
  • Base Camp - Family Fun at 3/4"
  • Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
  • Foam Tampe
  • Decorative Gems
  • White Gel Pen
I am entering the card in the following challenges:
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great evening :)

  19. It's more than a side step card. It's a fantastic camping card. How long did it take you to create this? I'm working on my Family Fun entry and it's a scrapbook layout since I've been in a scrapbooking mood.

  29. I just love these types of cards you do Lisa! This is so cool! I picked up a new Martha Stewart Score Board so I may have to try a card like this now. I had no intention of getting one then I went into Archiver's and they were doing a demo. Once I saw all the cool things I had to get it! (Just don't tell the hubby...he has no idea). lol..

Hope you have a great day!

  32. This is SO sweet! I love the inspiration behind it.. it made me think of a different camping scene you did a while back. I love that camping holds such a special place in your family! :o) The cuts are amazing and of course I'm so excited you made it a step card! Aren't they fabulous?! So much fun to make. The dimension and embossing look amazing, too. I crazy love the little sign.. it just completes the scene so authentically. (The colors are excellent, too! As always.) Pure excellence as always, my friend!
