Happy Saturday!! Did you venture out for Black Friday sales?? I did lots of shopping...all from the warm and comfy confines of home :) What would I do without online shopping??!! It's my turn to post at My Craft Spot and I have some Christmas cards to share with you today :)
I have been having so much fun playing with my early Christmas present (Cricut Explore). I absolutely love the Noel SVG file from SVG Cut Files.com by My Craft Spot and I couldn't wait to use it. I created three Christmas cards using this file and several other MCS products. All of the papers are from The Paper Studio.
I started by cutting out the file in the base paper and then adhering a different paper behind to show through. 'Noel' was cut three more times - once in black for a shadow, once in white and once more in patterned papers. The layers were adhered with foam tape for dimension. The 'N' and 'L' were given an extra layer of foam tape for even more dimension. It was then inserted in the hole created in the base paper. Scarlet Red Crinkle Ribbon was added to this card, along with a Tiny Tags die. The sentiment is from Tiny Tags Christmas and the button was tied with Natural Jute String.
This card was created the same way, using Vanilla Bean Crinkle Ribbon and Sage Jute String.
Snow White Crinkle Ribbon was used for this card and Natural Jute String.
A sentiment from Christmas Chalkboard was stamped on the inside of each of the cards.

These are gorgeous cards. Love the layers and how they are slightly offset, adds so much dimension to the cards. Hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a fabulous weekend.

ReplyDeleteMy sweetest friend, your cards are festively gorgeous! :o) I LOVE this cut file and am so eager to use it! All of your card designs are beautiful...I cannot choose a favorite! I love the combination of whimsy and elegance throughout, with such pretty papers and bows. :o) The tiny tags are such a sweet addition! The dimension is fabulous and I know these will be truly loved and appreciated by the lucky recipients! Spectacular work as always, my dear Lisa! I also love how you added the sweet little tags to the ribbon :) Nice to hear that you are enjoying your Explore too! I have the cutting with cartridges and svg's down. Now it is time for me to branch out and learn how to do the writing and maybe try cutting some vinyl. :) Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

ReplyDeleteThese are go unique and different. I love all three. I don't know where you are in IN but if you have a Menards nearby, they have some Cricut cartridges for 9.99. You may already have them but thought I would tell you since I just saw them this morning. I don't know if it's just good today or not. They are all Christmas ones.
ReplyDeleteYeah for you on the early Christmas gift! You will love the Explore! I love my Cameo and being able to cut svg's opens such a large window of more creations! LOVE your cards my friend! The shapes are so fun and the pattern papers are such a pretty combination! Your details are fantastic as always!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful weekend! I had a GREAT time back home with family! My sister and I also went shopping and had a ball. We left at 7pm Thurs and got back Fri at 10am. We still had a 2 hr drive to go back home and then we painted at my daughters til 10. So, yeah a little crazy and a tad bit tired! I pretty much crashed on Saturday though..pretty useless, lol! Found some good deals but more importantly had a fun time with my sis!

ReplyDeleteI have been sick with a nasty cold, so all my shopping was done in my jammies at HOME! Even if I had been feeling wonderful, I avoid leaving my house from Friday till Sunday during Black Friday weekend! Too much craziness for me!
