DL.ART Thankful Thursday #217 - Thanksgiving

Happy Thursday and Happy Thanksgiving to all my dear friends in the USA!! I hope you have a wonderful celebration with your families including lots of yummy turkey and pumpkin pie :) It's time for another challenge at DL.ART and the theme celebrates today...Thanksgiving. You could always substitute a thank you card. Exciting news - Diana has opened a new shop and she's having a sale now until November 27!! If you use the code GO22, Diana will give you a 22% discount to shop at DL.ART!! That's huge!! So hurry and shop now before the sale ends :)

I kept my cards fairly simple to showcase the beautiful new Thanksgiving Buttons that Diana has in her shop!! Aren't they adorable??!! She has an amazing assortment of buttons for you to choose from.

I popped foam tape between the layers for added dimension.

This beautiful ribbon is Burnt Leaf from the Fall Bundle. I also used Twine from Diana's shop.

The Thanksgiving paper is from Tim Holtz. For an extra touch of fall, I used Elizabeth Craft Leafy Branch #6 and a Concord & 9th Layering Leaves. Grateful is a My Creative Time die, cut in black foam.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
2) Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Anything Goes

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Thanksgiving projects. I can't wait to see what you create!! And don't forget to shop now using the code GO22 to save 22% :)

  27. Oh wow Lisa, these are just fantastic! The Tim Holtz image sheets are fabulous, so perfect for autumn! Your shabby bows are wonderful, and the colour of the ribbon is so vibrant, I love that! Your huge wheat die cuts are amazing, and I love the dainty little green branches you tucked in there too! The buttons and twine work so well with your theme, what amazing cards to celebrate your holiday this weekend!

So I had to build a barricade to keep Big Kate off of the balcony. Raccoons and baby squirrels just do not mix well together and I was losing sleep trying to watch over Zippy and Dolly P. It was a little heartbreaking to see the look on Kate's face when she realized she couldn't get in, but I passed her up lots of treats, so I hope she will forgive me. Sending hugs and wishes for a great holiday weekend :)

  42. The designer buttons are just fabulous. Love how you've used the scrappy print pattern papers as the background too. I never quite know how to use these prints to best advantage. Will have to remember this treatment. Of course the floral arrangement you added boosted each card into overdrive, as usual. At first I thought the leaves were wooden embellies...very textured, very beautiful. Glad your holiday was great, and TFS. Hugs
