Try It On Tuesday Guest Designer

Happy Tuesday, everyone!! I'm so excited to be a guest designer today for Try It One Tuesday!! The theme for the challenge is "Anything But Square". You can make any project for this challenge, as long as it isn't square.

I have a dear friend who is going through a difficult time and I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her. The papers are from Authentique. I started with a Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circle, and then a Grand Circle for the base of the cards.

A TCW Art Is Stencil was used with texture paste. A Prima Persian Lace stencil was cut in half and applied on the the top and bottom for the base of the flowers.

Tucked under the Wild Orchid Craft flowers are Sue Wilson Mosaic Leaves and Memory Box Chloe Stems, along with cheesecloth and baby's breath. The beautiful crinkle ribbon is from DL.ART.

The butterfly is a Fiskars punch. The sentiments were embossed with gold embossing powder on a vellum banner, cut with a Joy Crafts Banner die.

Head on over to Try it On Tuesday to see the amazing projects the talented design team have created for today's challenge!! Then I hope you'll join in with your Anything But Square project!! I want to sincerely thank Avril and the DT for having me guest design with them today!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Scrapy Land Challenge #45 - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you're having a wonderful first week of July. It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land. For Challenge #45, the theme is Anything Goes plus a brand of die Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from. You could win a $15 gift certificate to shop at Scrapy Land :)

I just received an order from Scrapy Land and I couldn't wait to use the new dies :) I started off with papers from Prima's Tales of You and Me stack.

A Cheery Lynn English Tea Party Doily die was tucked in the back. Texture paste was applied through an Art Is stencil by The Crafter's Workshop...I seem to use that stencil quite a bit, don't I??!! :)

Tucked among the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are Tattered Lace Baby's Breath and Memory Box Adelaide Stems dies. The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is Rose from DL.ART.

The tags are Sue Wilson Pierced Tags dies. A Memory Box Paintbrush Happy die was cut once in pink foam for dimension and then black cardstock.

The border along the bottom is a Cherry Lynn Lace Light Deco Border die. And finally, some watered down white acrylic paint was applied with a Tim Holtz Splatter Brush.

A Spellbinders Curved Borders Two die was used for the inside.

Scrapy Land Blog Challenge #34 - Love/Valentines

Happy Wednesday!! It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land!! The theme this week is Love/Valentines PLUS a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from. You could win a $15 gift certificate to shop at Scrapy Land :)

I created two mixed media Valentine cards for the challenge. The beautiful papers are from Craft and You's Wedding Garden paper stack.

The base layer is a Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles die. I popped up the top layer with foam tape.

I used Liquitex Modeling Paste between a The Crafter's Workstop 'Art Is' stencil. I like to use the Modeling Paste when I'm in a hurry because it dries pretty quickly.

A Die-Versions Heart Burst die was used below the heart. A Spellbinders Classic Heart was popped up with foam tape over a Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Heart. Love is a Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlets Handwritten Love die. I applied sticky tape to the cutout and added Sparkle N Sprinkle Diamond Dust glitter.

Sue Wilson Designs Faux Quilled Leaves, Memory Box Botanical Stems and Memory Box Chloe Stems were tucked among the Wild Orchid Crafts blooms and baby's breath.

A Poppystamps Stitched Button die was added to the DL.ART Pink Champagne crinkle ribbon. The butterfly is a Impression Obsession Medium Butterfly die. It was covered with Sparkle N Sprinkle Diamond Dust glitter. I used my new Tim Holtz Splatter Brush to splatter white acrylic paint over the cards.
