A Day For Play

Happy Saturday!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Craftin Desert Divas blog and I have a springy card to share with you today featuring sentiments from Tara's Summer Lovin' stamp set!!

When I think of spring, I think of flowers, sunshine, butterflies and bike rides. I tried to recreate that feeling with this card :)

I used several dies to create the scene. The Gas Lamp Sign Die is from Die-Versions (have you seen the new April Back to Basics 2 release?? The new dies are gorgeous!! Click HERE to see what's new!!). The bike is from Marianne Designs, the grass is from My Creative Time and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The stitched flag die and sun are from Lil' Inker. Fun in the Sun is from Summer Lovin' as is...

...A Day For Play. For this one, I masked off the words to stamp it vertically. Look at all the fun sentiments and fonts on this set:

You can purchase this set, along with the Teenage Dream and Punny at the Craftin Desert Divas Shop. And we would love to see your projects using any of the three stamp sets in our Craftin Desert Divas Gallery.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - April Linky
  2. Just B Creative Crazy - April Linky
Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Happy Birthday Ballerina

Happy Wednesday!! We're halfway to the weekend already!! It really is amazing how fast time flies. I've had this ballerina die for a while and wanted to use her, so I have a birthday card to share with you today :)

I have become completely addicted to my Zutter Distress-It-All. I can't seem to stop using it!! I am going to wear the poor little motor out :) The base paper is heavyweight cardstock from Canvas Corp. The patterned papers are from Prima's Lyric stack

The doily behind the flowers is from XCut. The flowers are a mixture of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts. I added tulle and string behind and some white crinkle ribbon for the bow. The buttons inside the flowers are Die-Versions Buttons dies. The butterfly is another current obsession of mine. It's from Memory Box. I cut it once in black and once in the Prima paper. The corner gems are Prima Say It In Crystals.

Isn't this wooden banner awesome?? I found them at Joann...they are from Jillibean Soup. The Happy Birthday stamp is from my sweet friend Jo's new Personalize It stamp set. You can find it in her store 3 Twenty Crafts. It was stamped with Versafine Onyx ink.

I wanted to be a ballerina when I was five...I wore my pink tutu everywhere :) This gorgeous ballerina is a Marianne die. She was covered in Martha Stewart Carrera Marble Glitter, popped up with foam tape and balanced on the sentiment flag.

Ride The Waves!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I hope you are having a great week so far!! It's my turn to post on the Craftin Desert Diva's blog and I have a project to share with you today using Tara's awesome new Summer Lovin' and Teenage Dream stamp sets!!

I am so loving these new stamps...so many fun uses!! I created a surfing-themed card to showcase the sentiments. The background paper is from Recollections. Spellbinders Standard Circles Large were used to cut the circles and the edges were sanded. The surfers are from Taylored Expression's Ride the Waves stamp set.

The waves are a Taylored Expressions Ride The Wave Border die. The surfboards are Taylored Expressions Surfboard die, with matching stamps from the Ride The Waves stamp set.

The banner is a Spellbinders Nautical Frames and Accents die. Ride the Waves is from the Summer Lovin' stamp set. #Dope and...

...#awesomity are from the Teenage Dream stamp set:

You can purchase both of these sets, along with the fun Punny set at the Craftin Desert Divas Shop. And we would love to see your projects using any of the three stamp sets in our Craftin Desert Divas Gallery.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - April Linky
  2. Funday Friday Challenge - Anything Goes
  3. Every Day is an Occasion - April Linky
  4. Just B Creative Crazy - April Linky
Finally, after what seems like the never-ending winter, there are signs of spring!!

I took this on Sunday...my first Daffodil of the year!! Okay, so it's not totally open yet, but it's close!! It's rained practically non-stop since so I couldn't go out and get a picture when it was fully open. But it still makes me happy to look at :) Thanks so much for stopping by!!
