Merry Christmas and Upcoming Blog Hop

Happy Friday, everyone!! It's my turn to share a project on the Die-Versions...you can visit the DV blog HERE. My projects feature two dies from the latest Die-Versions Christmas in July release, as well as a couple of other DV dies.

I used the Shapes Build an Owl to create this set of Christmas cards. Aren't the owls adorable??!! I've popped them all up with foam tape for dimension. All of the paper is from The Paper Studio.

First up is the Reindeer Owl. His eyes and scarf were covered with Ranger Glossy Accents. The button is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die, and I've used it on all three cards. Peace on Earth is from the newest release.

Next up is Santa Owl his eyes and hat were covered with Glossy Accents. Merry Christmas is a Sweet Wordlet die, and I used it on the next card as well.

Last we have Christmas Tree Owl. His eyes and the tree were covered with Glossy Accents.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
  2. DL.Art - July Linky
  3. DL.Art - Christmas in July
  4. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Mark your calendars for August 15th

There will be a joint blog hop with Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle. It will begin Aug. 15th at 7 am EST and go through Aug. 17th, so there will be plenty of time to check out all the great projects created by both teams. The theme will be Christmas, so you'll get lots of great inspiration for your upcoming Holiday cards.

The winner will receive a Grand Prize consisting of a $50 gift certificate from Die-Versions and a $50 gift certificate from Sparkle N Sprinkle, for a total of $100.

Die Versions manufactures low profile dies made right here in the United States and Sparkle N Sprinkle manufactures rubber stamps, glitters, embossing powders, and flocking, also made in the US. This is like a match made in heaven - low profile dies combined with lots of glitter, embossing powder, and flocking. Doesn't get much better than that.

Here is a sneak peak of some of the goodies that both teams received:

So mark your calendars now because this is one blog hop you won't want to miss!! Thanks for stopping by :)

Enjoy The Little Things In Life & GIVEAWAY!!

Happy Friday the 13th, everyone!! You aren't superstitious, are you??!! I am so excited and honored to be a guest designer for My Craft Spot today!! I adore all of Kimberly's stamps and dies and am constantly awed and inspired by her amazing design team!! They are so creative and talented!! Have you seen her latest release?? All must-haves!! I am so grateful to Kimberly for this opportunity :)

I am sharing with you today my shabby little garden, using one of my favorite My Craft Spot stamp sets, Simply Sentiments. The paper for this card is from Prima's Lady Bird stack. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA.

The flowers are a mixture of Prima and The Paper Studio. Vines were cut with vellum and tucked among the blooms. The birdhouse is a Prima Shabby Chic Treasure and I attached it to the fence with floral wire that has been twisted. The birds were fussy cut from the paper. Sugar Coating was added to the butterflies to make them sparkle. They were attached with foam tape for dimension.

I thought Enjoy the Little Things In Life was perfect for this card...flowers, butterflies, birds...little things that make life grand :) The sentiment is from Kimberly's Simply Sentiments set:

Aren't all of the sentiments awesome??!! You can purchase it HERE. I also used the Tiny Doilies Metal Dies:

You can purchase them HERE.

I love this stamp set so much, I created another card to share with you :)

I used Bo Bunny's Primrose Collection for this card. The flowers are again a mixture of Prima and The Paper Studio.

Spellbinders Opulent Ovals were used, and the top layer was inked with Tim Holtz Shabby Shutters Distress Ink. The butterflies were fussy cut from the paper.

This is my favorite sentiment because it is so true...faith does make things possible!!

Decorate to Celebrate #77 - For Dad or Birthday!!

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a great week!! It's time for another challenge at Decorate to Celebrate!! This week we are celebrating Fathers!! We want to see you celebrating everything wonderful about Dads with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more!!

For my Father's Day gift, I created a fishing vest gift card holder. My Dad doesn't actually fish and he doesn't hunt (thank goodness - I'm an animal lover!!) but he loves to camp so I thought this would be a fun gift card holder for him :) I found a big book of fabric swatches at Goodwill for $.99!! Actually, there were about three and they all had amazing swatches of fabric. I cut the vest first in Kraft paper and then I chose a fabric that would work for a vest. The die is from the newest Die-Versions release - Vest Card. It cut through the fabric perfectly!! I thought the frayed edges added a bit of flair. The pin on the pocket is supposed to represent hand-tied fishing lures :)

I added a fabric pocket inside to hold the gift card. Velcro circles hold the vest closed. The banner is a Spellbinders Ribbon Banner die cut in vellum. Happy Father's Day is from Craftin Desert Divas Happy Celebrations stamp set.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - June Linky
  2. ePlay Challenge - Fabric
  3. Little Scrap Pieces - Show Off Saturday
  4. Funday Friday - Anything Goes
  5. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Decorate to Celebrate to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Father's Day or Birthday project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

The branch is a Spellbinders Cherry Blossom die. The centers were inked with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. The bird is a Die-Versions Crow die and it was cut twice, once in black for a shadow effect. It was covered with Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coating, as was the Memory Box Darla Butterfly. The flowers are a mixture of Prima and The Paper Studio. Tulle was tucked among the blooms, as was twisted copper wire. Spellbinders D-Lites Corner Sprigs were cut in vellum and added as well. The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend Karen of Little Scrap Pieces. The button is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die.

Craft It Up & Link It Up - Fun Folds

Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day to all of my friends in the USA!! I want to sincerely thank the men, women and dogs who risk their lives so that we may enjoy freedom. God Bless our troops!!

Did you get the chance to hop with the Craftin Desert Divas DT this weekend to see the five awesome new stamp sets?? Today is another fun CDD Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party. Our theme this week is fun folds - lets see how creative you can get with fancy or simple folds :) The sponsors are Digital Delight by Loubylou: $5 G.C.; Miriams Crafting Supplies: $5 Credit (not on ATG or Shipping); Lucy Kelleher "Close to My Heart": $10 G.C. (Only in U.S.).

For my fun fold card, I created what I think is called a Tri-Shutter card or something like that. I made this card a few months ago and I found the directions on a blog. I thought I would be able to find it again when it was time to do my post and I can't. I've looked and looked. So I apologize...someone went to a whole lot of trouble making a tutorial and I can't give them proper credit :(

The papers are from Heartfelt Creations Balmy Breeze Collection. I created this card for my Dad who loves lighthouses and the ocean. The palm trees are Taylored Expressions Ride the Waves, colored with Distress Markers. The chair is a Die-Versions Adirondack Whispers die. Dad is from CDD's Snips & Snails stamp set...I masked off the "dy" in Daddy. Life's A Beach is from CDD's Summer Lovin' stamp set. Happy Birthday is from CDD's Simply Said stamp set.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

For my project, I created a Thank You candle gift for a teacher. The strip of butterflies is a Die-Versions Butterfly Punch Border die. The edges are Die-Versions Loopy Lace dies, adorned with crystal gems. Thank You is from Die-Versions Everyday Compliments set. I cut it once in green paper and then several times in black for dimension. I added a couple of the punched butterflies to decorate the letters.
