In staying with my theme from the last two seasons, I created both a seasonal mixed media canvas and tag.
This is another 8x 10 canvas. The papers are from K&Company's Que Sera stack. They were applied to the canvas with Claudine Hellmuth Gel Medium. Acrylic paint in orange and red were applied next and spread with a credit card and the partially removed with a baby wipe. The tree branches are a Crafter's Workshop stencil. Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste was used through the stencil and then the branches were painted with Twinkling H2O's. A charcoal pencil was used to outline the branches for more dimension. The leaves are from Tim Holtz's Autumn Gatherings die. The wheelbarrow is handmade, with a Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets die.
The Julie Nutting doll was stamped on old book paper. Her outfit is from the Que Sera paper. She was popped up with foam tape and outlined in charcoal for definition.
And because I love Halloween, I had to make a Halloween-themed tag :) The tag is a Prima Mixed Media tag and it has been brushed with a black Gelato. The owl is from Tim Holtz's Mini Halloween #3 set, and the spider is from Mini Halloween #2. The moon was created with a yellow Gelato. Happy Halloween is from Mini Halloween #3, as are the trick or treating kids in the background. The flourish is from Mini Halloween #2.
My witch is definitely a good witch :) Her hat is hand made and the layers of her dress were applied with foam tape for dimension.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
- Craftin' Desert Diva's #13 - Anything Goes
- DL.Art - Thankful Thursday - August Anything Goes
- Sunday Funday - August Linky Party
- Just B Creative Crazy - Just Because Linky Party
- Fun-Day Friday #13 - Anything Goes
So far, I'm giving away one of Julie's newest doll stamps, Mia, as well as a Prima Mixed Media Tag Pad. This week, I'm adding a pair of Julie Nutting Doll Wings stamp set.
All you have to do to be eligible to win Mia, the tag pad and wings is leave a comment on each Tuesday post (4 total). If you share info on our blog hop on your blog or facebook, you get another entry. And if you are or become a follower/subscriber, that's another chance to win. You can count these every week for extra entries...but be sure to leave a comment for each additional entry. And be sure to stop back next week...I may add a little something more to the giveaway :)
