DL.ART Thankful Thursday #231 ~ Red, White and Blue

Hello, everyone and happy Thursday!! It's time for a new Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART and the theme is Red, White and Blue. If you use the code LF222, Diana will give you a 10% discount to shop at DL.ART.

For my cards, I created flag cards, using Patriotic Red and Patriotic White ribbons from the Patriotic Bundle. I adhered Sparkle N Sprinkle Tear-ific Tape 1/2" to the back of the ribbon and alternately placed them on cardstock.

The Statue of Liberty die is from Die-Versions. It was covered with SNS Liberty Glitter and popped up with foam tape for dimension.

The USA letters are from Altenew. The sentiments are from  K Andrew Designs (no longer in business) and heat embossed with SNS White Detail Embossing Powder.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1) Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challengeb> ~ Anything Goes
2) Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
3) Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday ~ Anything Goes

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Red, White and Blue project. I can't wait to see what you create :)

DL.ART Thankful Thursday #216 ~ Patriotic

Happy Thursday!! It's time or a new Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART and the theme for this one is fitting for Veteran's Day in the USA: Patriotic. You could always substitute a Thank You card. If you use the code l01210, Diana will give you a 10% discount to shop at DL.ART.

I decided to make three cards to showcase the three beautiful colors of ribbon in The Patriotic Bundle.

For this card, I embossed the background with a star embossing folder. The Statue of Liberty is a Die-Versions Whispers die covered in Sparkle N Sprinkle Crystal Ice. This beautiful ribbon is Patriotic Blue from The Patriotic Bundle. The Twine is also from Diana's shop. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs (no longer in business).

For this card, I used the star embossing folder and a stripes one to mimic a flag. The Eagle Badge is a Die-Versions die. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions and the banner is a My Craft Spot die (no longer in business). The beautiful ribbon is Patriotic Red from The Patriotic Bundle.

For this card, I used a rays embossing folder. The Bursting Stars die is also from Die-Versions, covered in SNS Crystal Ice. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions. The ribbon is Patriotic White from The Patriotic Bundle.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
2) Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Anything Goes

Hooray for the Red, White & Blue!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful last weekend in June!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and and since we will be celebrating Independence Day in the USA on Saturday, I've created a couple of cards using the new Whispers Statue of Liberty die from the June release for the occasion :)

The Whispers Statue of Liberty is one of my all-time favorite dies (I seem to say that about all of the dies, but it's true!!) I remember the first time I saw the Statue of Liberty in person...I was ten years old on a family vacation. I was blown away!! She was so massive and beautiful and I was mesmerized :)

I cut the Statue of Liberty three times, once in red, white and blue. I only adhered the bases together so that the stars would look like fireworks shooting off the card. I added the stars that were cut from the die to one corner. The "4" is a Downhill Font die and "th" is A Little Mint Font die.  I cut the Statue of Liberty one more time in white and then added the stars to the bottom. The sentiment is from an old K Andrew Designs Sweet July stamp set.

And another version of the Statue of Liberty on star paper. I covered her in Moonrise Glitter Tinsel from Sparkle and Sprinkle and oh my, the sparkle is amazing!! You can see it better here...

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - June Linky
2. DL.Art - Thankful Thursday #159 - Red, White & Blue
3. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
4. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Red, White & Blue
