Hooray for the Red, White & Blue!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful last weekend in June!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and and since we will be celebrating Independence Day in the USA on Saturday, I've created a couple of cards using the new Whispers Statue of Liberty die from the June release for the occasion :)

The Whispers Statue of Liberty is one of my all-time favorite dies (I seem to say that about all of the dies, but it's true!!) I remember the first time I saw the Statue of Liberty in person...I was ten years old on a family vacation. I was blown away!! She was so massive and beautiful and I was mesmerized :)

I cut the Statue of Liberty three times, once in red, white and blue. I only adhered the bases together so that the stars would look like fireworks shooting off the card. I added the stars that were cut from the die to one corner. The "4" is a Downhill Font die and "th" is A Little Mint Font die.  I cut the Statue of Liberty one more time in white and then added the stars to the bottom. The sentiment is from an old K Andrew Designs Sweet July stamp set.

And another version of the Statue of Liberty on star paper. I covered her in Moonrise Glitter Tinsel from Sparkle and Sprinkle and oh my, the sparkle is amazing!! You can see it better here...

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - June Linky
2. DL.Art - Thankful Thursday #159 - Red, White & Blue
3. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
4. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Red, White & Blue

Celebrate Father's Day

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn again to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you today using one of the awesome new dies from the May 2015 release.

I don't create many masculine cards, so I was so excited to see the new Whispers Vintage Motorcycle die from the latest release!! It's perfect for a masculine birthday card or for Father's Day...so I've made one of each.

A Whispers Circles Background was used for the base. The Vintage Motorcycle was cut in silver foil so that it would shine :)

Happy Birthday is a Corner Concepts die. The star is a Wee Petites Super Stars die.

For this card, the Whispers Circles Background was cut in silver foil. Celebrate is an Express Banner die.The two star bursts and the stars along the top are Wee Petites Super Stars dies.

A Sweet Spots Angel Wing Scalloped Circle was used for the sentiment, which was created with the A Little Mint Font set.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - May Linky

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a fabulous week :)

I created two Mother's Day cards using several Die-Versions products. The cards are pretty much the same except for the colors.

I used a Whispers Hexagon Background die for the background of the cards. A Whispers Ring of Hearts die was popped up with foam tape and placed behind a Whispers Butterfly Punch Border die. Sticky tape was placed behind both the Ring of Hearts die and the Butterfly Punch Border and then sugar coating was sprinkled inside for a beautiful sparkle.

The light is a Whispers Gas Lamp Sign die...I cut off the sign part so it would fit with the design. The butterfly is a Wee Petites Buggy die. Mom was cut from A Little Mint Font. The button on the ribbon is a Wee Petites Buttons die.
