Sympathy Cards for Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hello, everyone and happy Saturday!! It's my turn to post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog and I have a couple of sympathy cards with you today featuring the newly released Pretty Blooms 873 stamp set.

Products Used

Pretty Blooms 873
Glitter: Crystal Ice (G1058)
Embossing Powder: Antiquities (EP266)
Flocking: Pink Spirit (SS108)
Adhesive: Sticker Paper (99558); Super Adhesive Sheets (SAS02); Nuvo Glue Pen Smooth Precision (206N); Tear-ific Tape 1/4 " (SAT01)
Dies: Memory Box Tender Leaves and Stitched Ovals; Taylored Expressions Banners
Other: Versamark Embossing Ink Pad (VM001); Tonic Spring Cut Fine Tip Detail Scissors (404); Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers, DL.ART Ribbon; Prismacolor Pencils

For these sympathy cards, I started with a sheet of Sticker Paper (99558) and I covered it with Pink Spirit (SS108) flocking.

I stamped the Pretty Blooms 873 stamps with Versamark Embossing Ink Pad (VM001) and then heat embossed with Antiquities (EP266) embossing powder. The flowers were then cut with a Memory Box Stitched Oval die and adhered to the flocked paper with Super Adhesive Sheets (SAS02).

I also used Antiquities (EP266) embossing powder to stamp the sentiment and to cover the butterfly.

The flowers were colored with Prismacolor Pencils. I then used a Nuvo Glue Pen Smooth Precision (206N) and covered the edges with glitter. They were then cut out with Tonic Spring Cut Fine Tip Detail Scissors (404). I added foam for dimension and adhered them with Tear-ific Tape 1/4 " (SAT01).

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Shabby Chic Card Tutorial for Lemoncraft

Hello, everyone!! It's my turn to post on the Lemoncraft Blog and I have a tutorial to share with you on how I make shabby chic cards featuring several Lemoncraft products from the House of Roses collection.

These are the cards I will be making today :)

For the base of the cards, I used heavyweight (110 lb) cardstock, cut 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. The next layer of paper is from the House of Roses Basic Stack, measuring 5 1/4 x 5 1/4. I distressed the edges of both layers, as shown on the left, using a Zutter Distress-it-All, but you could use any distressing tool.

After selecting the images I wanted to use from the Vintage Time 005 Sheet, I cut an oval window in the top layer of paper (5 x 5) from the House of Roses 12x12 Collection.

Next, I cut frames for the windows using nesting oval dies. The smaller oval die is the one I used to cut the window.

I wanted the frame to have some dimension, so I added foam tape to the back before I adhered it to the paper.

I also added foam tape to the top layer of paper for added dimension.

Next, I selected an assortment of embellishments to add to the cards including Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, ribbon and leaves die cut from papers from the House of Roses Basic Stack.

I cut butterflies from the Vintage Time 008 Sheet and then colored them with a clear Wink of Stella pen for some shimmer. I added foam tape to the back of the butterflies, too.

Next, I start adding the embellishments.

For the sentiments, I chose a sheet of paper from the House of Roses Ephemera Cards and cut a banner. I then cut a banner in vellum, stamped the image with Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then layered the vellum over the paper.

Once the sentiment was adhered, I added some Cream Cotton Lace beneath the banners.  The clock is from the Vintage Time 009 Sheet.

For a little additional texture, I added some Tu-Tu Pink Prills.

I added a touch of water to white acrylic paint and splattered it on the cards.

For the final touch, I added some pearls.

And here is the finished card :)

And the second card:

The doily is a Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily. I cut it in half and offset it under the center panel. A Memory Box Adelaide Stem was adhered beneath the butterfly, a Fiskars punch.

This gorgeous crinkle ribbon is Lavender from the Spring Bundle #1.

And this is Baby Blue from the Baby Bundle.

The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Tucked beneath are Memory Box Tender Leaves and Chloe Stems.

The angel is from a mold.

DL.ART Thankful Thursday #188 ~ Gardens

Happy Thursday!! It's time for a new Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART and the theme this week is Gardens. If you use the code l01210, Diana will give you 10% off your order at DL.ART!!

For my cards, I created shabby garden cards. The papers are from Craft and You's Rose Garden stack. The base layer was created with Andy Skinner's Mega Crackle technique.

A Prima Persian Lace die was added next. The butterfly in the top corner is a Fiskars Punch, and it was coated with Sparkle N Sprinkle Crystal Ice.

The cherub fountain was left over from a previous shabby garden project and it was perfect for this challenge. It's a Prima Baroque Mould 5, made with air dry clay. I then applied DecoArt Antiquing Cream in Burnt Umber.

Inside the fountain, I added Tu Tu Pink Prills (love them!!) with Finnabair Art Basics 3D Gloss Gel.

And I think these are Third Place Prills (not positive on the color).

Beneath the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, I added Memory Box Tender Leaves and Anja's Leaves from Marianne. This gorgeous crinkle ribbon is Cappuccino ~ Coffee House Bundle #3.

This is my all-time favorite crinkle ribbon - Pink Champagne ~ Vintage Vinyard Bundle. Happy Birthday is from My Creative Time.

I am linking this up in the following challenges:

2) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
