Daydream Collection Cards for Lemoncraft

Hello, everyone!! It's my turn to post on the Lemoncraft Blog and I have a few cards to share with you today featuring the gorgeous Daydream Collection, which you can find in my Etsy store HERE.

For my first set of birthday cards, I've used the Daydream 12x12 Stack, as well as the Daydream Basic Stack. I've also used the clock and butterflies from the Vintage Time 007 sheet, and butterflies from the Vintage Time 010 sheet. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

For my second set of cards, I used also used papers from the Daydream 12x12 Stack and Daydream Basic stack, but in different colors. The rose image is from the Vintage Time 011 sheet, and the feather tucked behind the flowers is from the Vintage Time 010 sheet.

For My Sweet Friend for Wild Orchid Crafts

Happy Thursday, everyone!! It's my turn to post on the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and I'd love for you to stop by if you have time :) I have a couple of cards to share with you featuring several Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and embellishments.

For my friendship cards, I used papers from 49 and Market's Cottage Life collection. Our DT challenge this month was to use supplies we purchased but have neglected. I purchased the Mixed Vintage Hydrangea Blooms a while back and this is the first time I've opened the package. They were created with Double Head Pearl Stamens (my new favorite embellishment!!). I also used Cottage Roses, Lilies and Hip Rosebuds.

Tucked among the blooms are Mulberry Paper Leaves, Pearl Sprays, Crown Pins and Heart Shaped Pearl Beads. The butterflies are adorned with Self Adhesive Pearls and Double Head Pearl Stamens.

The tags pull out to reveal pretty papers.

DL.ART Thankful Thursday #200 - Flowers

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for a new Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART and the theme is (my personal favorite!!) Flowers. If you use the code l01210, Diana will give you 10% off your DL.ART purchase. And have you seen the new Intimate Bundle?? Gorgeous!!

For my cards, I used papers from Craft and You. I applied texture paste through a The Crafter's Workshop stencil for texture.

The butterflies are a Tim Holtz Sizzix Butterflies On the Edge die. The beautiful crinkle ribbon is Pink Champagne from Vintage Vinyeard Bundle.

This ribbon is Rose, also from Vinage Vineyard Bundle. I used a wide variety of Wild Orchid Crafts for these cards. Tucked underneath are Elizabeth Craft Curvy Leaves, Memory Box Chloe Stems, Paper Smooches Foilage 2 and a Prima Persian Lace die. The Guipure Lace and White Sissal is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1) Simon Stays Stamp Wednesday Challenge - For a Special Lady/Girl
2) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
3) Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Anything Goes

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your flower project!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

This next photo isn't a great one, but I was so excited to spot the first butterfly of the year!! I wanted to get a better snap, but it flew away before I could. March 8th seems a little early to me, but we've had a pretty mild winter. I'm worried for it's safety since the temps are supposed to drop to the 20's this weekend with a forecast of snow :(

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 - December

Happy Thursday, everyone!! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that Santa brought you lots of crafty goodies :) I'm still on a small blog break while I spend time with my family, but I wanted to slip in and post my final tag for Tim's 12 Tags of 2016 challenge. I'm so happy to have finished a tag every month...my resolution for the year :)

I won't go into too many details...I pretty much followed Tim's instructions HERE. I used his Gothic Stencil for the background on burlap technique. The papers are from his Destinations paper stack. The greens are from his Spring Greenery Alterations die and Juniper Punch.

I am entering this in Tim's 12 Tags of 2016 Challenge.

I hope you all have a very safe and happy New Year!! I will be by in a few days to visit you!! Big hugs :)

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 - November

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!! I have had a hard time getting in my craft room this month...hence the last minute entry into Tim's 12 Tags of 2016!! I've entered every month so far so I couldn't miss this one!! And I am short of time today, so this will be a quick post :)

My tag is quite a bit different from Tim's this month...I used products I had on hand. For the Remnant Rub Resist, I started with Remnant Rubs and then Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Mowed Lawn and Mermaid Lagoon. The edges were inked with Gathered Twigs. For the Dimensional Coloring, I used the butterflies from his French Flight Framelets and colored them with Distress Markers and a TH Waterbrush. The metal leaves are from his Idea-ology Adornments Nature set.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 - October, plus Vacation Pictures

Happy Tuesday!! I'm still working on getting around to your blogs to visit. I'd hoped to be able to comment on all of the posts I missed while I was away, but I was leaving so many comments, blogger thought I was a spammer. I had to click on the "not a robot" button and then the picture captcha..sometimes multiple pictures. And it's hard to figure out what I'm supposed to click on when the blog is in a foreign language. It's taking me so long for just one comment, there's no way I can comment on all of your posts and I truly apologize, but I am scrolling through to see all of the ones I missed.

I have a few vacation pictures to share with you but first, I have my October tag for Tim's 12 Tags of 2016 challenge.

I pretty much followed Tim's instructions, substituting for materials I had on hand. Sadly, I don't have the cool monster face dies, so I used the Rickety House instead. To add dimension to the house like he did to the face, I popped up the roof with foam tape.

Some close-ups of the crackle on the patchwork collage background.

Also, I used Tim's Wood Plank Texture Fade instead of the Rivet Texture Fade. Tim used a metal spider and mine's a remnant rub.

The house took up so much space, I didn't have room for a word band, so I used haunted, a remnant rub. The eye in the corner is also one, to represent the eye on Tim's tag.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Okay, now for some photos from my vacation if you're interested :) I took so many pictures, I haven't been able to go through them all, but I tried to pick out some highlights to share.

We had no agenda for the trip and really didn't know where we would end up. We pointed the motorhome south and started out on Galveston Island, Texas. Look...I found the perfect t-shirt:

So me!! It's even pink!! I had to buy it :)

The good thing about going in the off-season is that the are no crowds and you don't have to worry about reservations. We were looking for one campground and turned left instead of right, which took us to the east end where all the action was. Lucky for us we found a campground just steps away from the beach. I took this picture from a beach chair as I lounging under the awning.

We were right next to the spot where the helicopter took off for sightseeing tours of the island.

This is a shot of Pleasure Pier from the beach in front of the campground.

I snapped this shot of the pelican in front of one of the many ships that chugged along the waters.

After a few days in Texas, we drove along the bayous of Louisiana to...

...the Big Easy.

Here's a hazy shot of the city across Lake Pontchartrain.

And the Superdome.

From there, we drove along the gulf shores,

to Biloxi, Mississippi.

From there, it was on to Destin, Florida.

The campground we stayed at is actually in Miramir Beach and one of the few that you can camp right on the beach. I'm talking actually on the sand!! The view from the motorhome :)

Some pretty sea oats.

 The sunsets were amazing!!

So that's just a few shots from the trip. I truly didn't want to leave the beach, but it's back to the real world :) Thanks again for visiting my while I was away!! Have a wonderful day!! Big hugs :)
