Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday - Stars and Stripes

Happy Friday!! I hope all of my friends and followers in the USA had a safe and happy 4th of July celebration yesterday!! And I hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend :)

Friday means a Fun Friday challenge at Little Scrap Pieces. The challenge this week is Stars and Stripes.

This was a quick and easy card to make. The base was cut with a Spellbinders Card Creator Matting Basics A die in heavyweight cardstock from Canvas Corp. A Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder was inked with Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink and then the paper was run through the Cuttlebug for a letterpress effect.

The star was created the same way. The star is a Spellbinders Star die and the Cuttlebug Star embossing folder was inked with TH Faded Jeans. It was attached with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Sweet July stamp set, stamped in Versafine Onyx ink.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp - Patriotic
  2. Simon Says Stamp and Show - Anything Goes
  3. DL.Art - Thankful Thursday #112 - Patriotic
  4. DL.Art - Thankful Thursday - July Anything Goes
  5. Sunday Funday #11 - Linky Party
  6. Fun-Day Friday #7 - Anything Goes
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Little Scrap Pieces to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Stars and Stripes project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

The base of this hot & spicy card is a Spellbinders Grand Rectangle, wrapped in orange, red and yellow twine. The next layer is a Spellbinders Labels 8, with the edges sanded and then inked with Fired Brick Distress Ink. The red Dew Drops are from The Robin's Nest. "Hot" is from K Andrew Designs Coffee & Tea Treats Tag-Along stamp set

The black layer is a Spellbinders Labels 10 with the edges sanded. Spicy was cut from Spellbinders Donna's Alphas and embossed with the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder and inked with Fired Brick Distress Ink.
